Personally, I’d go hard for Joseph Suaalii could be a player we build our future around for the next 15 years

The Knights took a punt on a kid who was incredibly hyped and threw him 500-600k without barely having a few games under his belt and look how they played out with Ponga

Would not touch him with a barge poll - sounds like a wanker.

For what he is asking you need at least one RL run on the board - he has none.

Sounds ungrateful and brought up around the wrong people. If I was offered even 100k at 18 years old I’d jump at it in a blink

It's actually smart. If you can get a monster contract without even needing to put your body through the week to week grind of the NRL, you'd take it.

I blame the clubs throwing ridiculous contracts at him, not his management.

I mean sure I guess. But your management is also putting you under the pump straight away.

if you don’t live up to expectations, it gets thrown back in your face and your next contract gets significantly reduced or you just get thrown out completely playing park footy in Dubbo or something

Speed in the modern game is even more important then previously. All of the top sides are have it in spades. All teams in the bottom of the comp lack it! Tigers number one priority. If it takes another 2 yrs so be it, buy the best young talent around and stop buying burnt out players.Think long term as shown by the chocolate soldiers ,chikens, and rooters,

If there is truth to the rumour that Manly are keen on Garner, and if he is wanting to go, then I would like to see us replace him with a starting 17 edge forward before we release him. Now the only other option worth considering would be an early release of Garner to Manly if they give us Schuster (provided he will come to us of course).
We have the power in this negotiation, for once, so we should be playing it tough for the best possible outcome.

Very unlikely he would come here, the 2 biggest scam clubs rorters and wabbits are trying to sign him and he wants top money.I hate to think what he would want to come to us

We should make a big move for Reece Walsh at the Broncos, ex Keebra Park. A super talent and super quick.

yes please.

I love how everyone takes what is said as if it came from the Pom.

Don't hate the idea as I mentioned earlier, but I think it's very unlikely.

It was a joke

Not sure that's how it's being taken..

No its not but @TYGA said so himself

I'd be very happy if we got Schuster.

It’s a massive long shot and I doubt it would ever happen but there’s talk that Josh McGuire might leave cowboys. Would take him any day of the week to play 13 for us still a quality player. Just a hope more than anything lol

The broncos pack has gone backwards since he left

Just sign Tristan Sailor please....

No Thanks.

Too much baggage with his old man.

It was bad enough with Paul Sironen and his two sons and they were ours.

He just isn’t that good

If Wendall wasn’t his old man no one would have heard of him

Staines re-signing isn’t that bad. He was asking for pretty ridiculous money and he still doesn’t really have a spot in their team.

pretty annoyed we didn't get him. I'm worried about JAC at the back and neither M'Bye or Doueihi are exactly specialists. in order to win a comp you need a game changing fullback, JAC has plenty of work to do if he is to become that player for us providing he signs.

I’d say penrith will be letting go of Mansour soon anyway so Staines can fill that void

Yes please @ Burton. There’s no way he gets a run at penrith next year unless injuries

Personally think JAC would be fine out the back. He’s been freakish the last few weeks, scoring tries I don’t think any other wingers in the competition could. I get he would exert more energy playing out the back, but he doesn’t seem the lazy type to me.

We desperately need speed. You can't have BJ, Momo, AD, Mbye in the same backline as there is just no long range threat. If it is true we have missed out on JAC 'and' Staines, that means finding legit speed from anywhere in time for 2021 is going to be difficult. 2021 is shaping up to be more of the same, unfortunately.

I'm worried about his ability to marshal the defence as he hasn't done it at NRL level, as well as being able to sum up an overlap and throw the right pass. he might have it in him, he might not, but they're arguably the most important traits in a fullback.
