Liddle has more talent than Harry Grant... Lids has just been injured that's all... big difference in how he provides service... very noticeable... Harry is a good player but I wouldn't say he is better than Liddle... both has strengths and I would back Liddle instead of Harry

Think Simpkin could be up there with Grant in years to come as for Liddle no way, happy to have him if we can't get Grant and he can warm the spot until Simpkin is ready.

Liddle is not at Grant's level and I doubt he will ever be.

However, Liddle will be a very good number 9 if he stays injury free and arguably works a bit better with the halves.

Liddle's passing out of dummy half is outstanding. He gets our forwards going forward. His pace makes life difficult for defences. I am a big admirer of his play. Remember also he will be faster next year.

Grant is a very fine player. We were fortunate to have both due to our excellent recruitment. In either outcome, only one would stay at. WTs because each would command a starting position at another club. Simpkin as understudy.

Starting with the player is the wrong way to do it IMO.

Both have excellent service, but Liddle is very decisive, pass or run ASAP. Harry is more of a schemer, will have a look and might decide, for example, to play to a forward on the last as we saw multiple times this year. Reminded me more of Robbie.

Harry also seems to pop up everywhere in attack and defence.

We lack a clear recruitment strategy.
I think the tigers need to start deciding how they want the team to play and then recruit or promote players that bring the requisite skills. Instead we seem to chase the player and then work it out later. Maybe the club has addressed this but I'm not sure, I can only go off the players we have signed or acknowledged an interest in.

Signing JAC for fullback would be an example of chasing a player rather than the right role for the team. Maybe the reported ncentives in the contract are meant to reflect the risk that he might not be the right fit.

As much as Josh Reynolds has had a tough time at the Tigers at least he comes across as a decent bloke who is liked by his peers.

Moylan comes across as a gold-star douche who's managed to get most of his playing cohorts offside.

For the sake of team harmony I hope this isn't true.


Similar to my take. Not much difference in the on field performances, bit like kissing your sister. But because they spend most of their time off the field JRey wins by a nostril with his demeanour. Moylan eats too many lemons.

Well all the players better watch their partners if we sign Moylan

Doesn’t mean Liddle is a bad player, he’s a good player in his own right, just don’t think he’s at Harry’s level. Harry will only keep getting better too

Would prefer Harry but comfortable with Liddle as well

Agree Mate - I think he has more talent than Grant as well.

Grant is a better defender, Liddle a better DH and neither have a kicking game at this stage.

If we got Grant, I would be keeping Liddle and getting rid of Simpkin if one of them had to go.

Don’t think he is better than Grant but he is much better than average imo. Good passing from the ground; quick out of dummy half. Not sure about his kicking game

I read that, I think off the field we are getting better. It is meaningless without success though so I'm somewhat jaded.

Maybe but Harry has ticker, he's a winner, has football sense and leadership. He's priority No 1 for me, even before JAC
