Well Wests Tigers attempted to get cap relief for Liam Fulton when he retired due to concussion and were knocked back..so lets see what's changed..

The medical retirement stuff has changed a lot the last few years. We just saw glasby retire due to concussion

I had a drink with a work colleague who has something small to do with the Roosters, he was of the opinion Boyd Cordner may be medically retired before pre season starts, apparently has been discussed with club.
If this happens it probably allows them to keep Crichton, get Suali etc

If Cordner has to retire due to the concussions, well for once I'd say fair enough for Roosters.

That was my initial reaction too. Normally id assume they are doing a roosters but we have all seen Boyd cop serious head knocks over the years. Good luck to him.

This can only start one way, and it has to be said, I hate the Roosters.
The only redeeming part of the Roosters was Cordner, an honest toiler who got every inch of talent and skill out of his body and became a leading first grade footballer on sheer will. For Peter Sterling, Brandy and others to refer to him as "a captains captain" reflects that I wasn't the only one to hold him in such high regard. He should retire no one would argue, he has nothing left to prove and everything to lose, the frequency's of the concussions are increasing and the severity of the incident that brings on the concussion is decreasing. It hates me to say it, but if he retire, the Roosters will be entitled to cap relief.
In saying that, how can we get Packer's toe, Reynold's lack of ability and Mbye's whatever classified as a medical retirement and get salary cap relief too.

What about our younger backs? Bringing in Naden blocks the pathways for the youth we've invested time and money developing. Staggs is very good but Brisbane will not let him go.

i dont like Naden...... even if he is good i dont think he is what we need

This forum has a thing about punchable faces, funnily enough always from Penrith and eels ?

End of the day I wouldn’t sign him. Not the style of player we need or the position we need

why are people so Anti-Naden. Might be a tad grubby and loud but definitely not hate worthy. I've never seen a bad attitude from him, even though Cleary screwed him over (something we can bond over)

Has speed, skill and willingness to learn from what I've seen.
