Thank you.

No McIntyre in there yet, hopefully as people have said he's re-signed it's just dotting the "i"s and crossing the "t"s.

Would think so. Hopefully sooner rather than later

The thing I noticed most about that list is 13 (half) of them are all coming off contract at the same time. That doesn’t strike me a good management. Would that be typical for Storm, Rorters etc?

It seems purposeful to me. With all the cap issues we’ve had I feel like Madge really wanted to make sure we had lots of room for 2022, and at the same time he can pick and choose which guys from our current squad he wants to try and keep. Didn’t want to give anyone really long deals I think

There’s a good chunk of them that won’t be offered a new deal you would think. I would hope they are already in talks with some guys they want to keep like Nofa and Aloiai.

I'll be doing the 2021 contract list thread in the next few days. I've given it a bit longer just to see if anything materialises at all.

There’s a whole lot of money available for 2022 that’s for sure. About half our team off contract some who are on big dollars

We’re in a really good position if we lock down Madge. Players are playing for contracts, I’d be extending Musgrove, Luci, Nofa and Aloiai and telling everybody uncontracted for 22 that they’re playing for a contract. Next year should be all about being competitive and landing a couple of guys that will attract others to the club for the following year.

I just saw Reynolds up here on the north coast , thinks he gonna have a boom year ?

Excellent. If he works hard during the off-season there is no reason why he can’t be in the top 16 five eights in the comp.

In group 16?

Ditto. I'd like to see the likes of Rizk and Kei given a go before Mansour.

Rizk and Kei get my vote - jumping to the next NRL player who is edging closer to retirement is a massive roadblock for our youngsters. These two if not at Mansour level at the start of the season, with a few games under their belt will quickly catch up.

If you're good enough you're old enough as they say.

It's pretty standard..the range for off contract 2021 is 7-15 players across all Clubs

Rorters have 10, Storm 11...

Not sure where to post link, as idk if the Latrell thread still exists, but find his comments in article could be useful or constructive for club recruitment and management.

*The 23-year-old, who is aiming to extend his deal at Redfern, spoke in detail for the first time about his meeting with the Cowboys - something that was arranged as he was en route to Cairns for a holiday - and his Taree coffee date with Tigers coach Michael Maguire.*

*While he was tempted by the country lifestyle the Cowboys offered, Mitchell said the Tigers tabled a deal worth north of $1m a season.*

*"It was big money - we're talking big money - but I said to myself, 'If I go there, will I be happy and the player I want to be?','' Mitchell said.*

*"People will see I'm on over $1m ... I didn't need that pressure yet, with the money side [of things]. I thought, 'Souths are keen, I'll take a pay cut and go and play with them, challenge myself and play with some elite players'.*

*"The Tigers had Benji [Marshall] and good players. But they didn't have the foundation. They played good this year and it was grouse to see.*

*But they didn't have your Cody Walkers and Adam Reynolds, boys who have played together for years - the three players in the spine (along with Damien Cook) have played for four or five years already.*

*"Benji was in and out [of the halves], Luke Brooks was in and out, they [the Tigers] just couldn't find that balance. I was like, 'I can't go there yet'. If there was an opportunity later on, maybe.*

Perfect example of a media team getting positive stories out about the club and player. We are so far behind this it’s not funny. I know I bang on about it but I’m really tired of the no speak to media thing. Sets us back so far, imagine if they’d were on our side now or during latrell signings.

It shouldn't be all about money so respect that.

However, stating that it would be too much pressure says it all for me.

We definitely dodged a bullet with this one - I just hope it wasn't JAC firing it!

That’s what I’m thinking too. No one will be getting extended unless they earn it. The risk is we leave it too late and lose good players is all but I think we’ll be okay, madge signed a lot of guys back up mid season 2019 so he might do it again next year

Time for change especially in the backs. Rizk, Kei, Kepaoa and Talau are a very talented quartet.

I don't agree with the Mansour is cheap line. As you have said he is a potential road block. Also why help Panthers retain Burton? More sense to keep him at that club.

This off season I’d be cheering with JAC or Burton.2021 off season is really interesting.plenty of cash to spend.
I’m not expecting miracles in 2021,excuse the negativity.what I I’m hoping for is our young guns to really take their games to the next level.
Kepoa,Talau,Blore,Simpkin,Liddle,Musgrove,Milale and McIntyre if all those lads live up to their full potential, that is foundations for a solid team.I think this year most of those names mentioned showed that have got good footy in them.

Yes and we may have some other diamonds in the rough coming through anyway. Surely money could be better spent on other positions where we don't have as many prospects.

Sign Mansour and any young talent that we do have and costing next us to nothing will surely walk out the door for more forward thinking clubs who are willing to work with talent and turn it into something rather than just trying to sign anything we can get our hands on.

It depends on the quality of players coming off contract,in our case it is a plus because of the amount of poor contracts not so much with Storm/Roosters.

Has anyone started an Eisenhuth thread?

I noticed this two way street with Penrith. Wondering if Eisenhuth was in exchange for James Tamou (if so fine) or just wanted too much money.
