I don't agree. It shows we know our prices and our cattle, and if someone else wants to pay over what we'll pay, we don't get drawn into extended negotiations.
At the moment there are plenty of Aloiai-type players going around. He has plenty of upside and I like the bloke. He does go missing from time to time and drops the footy a little too often.
Maybe he'll go to another level in the next contract, maybe he won't. He's already had 90 games with us for us to have a decent idea what he's capable of across his career.
So Tigers have put a price on that capability and kudos for not becoming a pawn in player manager games to increase the price.
