Funny what a week in league can do...If JOF does sign:

Tamou for Aloiai (Improvement stats wise)
Joe OF for McIntyre (improvement)
James Roberts for Robert Jennings (Improvement)
Stefano for Eisenhuth (Unproven, though large wraps on Stefano)
Laurie for Benji (Unproven but young with huge wraps)

I would say we have come out on top with our gains compared to losses both financially and talent wise. The only real impact is the loss of Grant but hopefully Simpkins can be the next best thing.

Good to see us making smart decisions.

Joe for Sam mac is not an improvement - we don't have Joe = a loss.

We didn't lose Grant - never had him, he was on loan.

And Liddle is a nobody??? go for Simpkin though without 1 game of NRL..

A lot of negative views on prospective signings I’ll admit they are high risk Laurie, Jet, Joe O, Siro.
Reality is we struggle to attract players have done so for years. There is potential for us to have an upgraded team next year even with losing Aloai and Matterson last year.

Joe O will be like Luciano last year replacing Matterson. I suspect he will be an upgrade but a higher risk proposition and end up much cheaper.

If Laurie could be released for 2021 there’s an X factor player we need

Still unhappy with the JTJ signing but if we land the 3 above, he’s probably competing for a spot anyway.

I like all the signings so far and the potential of Joe O, but we should be realistic: Laurie is a young player none of us have seen, Tamou is 33 and was unwanted by his club and obviously didn't attract much interest from elsewhere, Joe O was bad last year, Roberts was almost unplayable and our singings from last year (Joey and AD) have yet to prove themselves as being difference makers, and in Joey's case perhaps not even first grade quality. So I think we're buying well given what is available and I like that the contracts seem really good for us, but this is putting together scraps from other teams and I think it's better for our collective mental wellbeing if we don't start booking GF tickets. Again, recruitment has been good, much better approach than the madness of the Cleary year, but we're buying potential and hope not top flight talent.

Don't know what every manly fan thinks, but my mate is a massive eagles fan and always talks up how good Siro has been for them.

Sirro was big in pushing Manly back to finals in the years prior to this one. Turbo injury killed them this yr
JO played origin and made finals 4 yrs in a row at Broncs, had one bad year

Absolutely, we’re targeting some good players at rock bottom. Low risk high reward.
