There is are few pics of a fresh face by the name of Michael Tannous .. put that name down as one to remember .. this kid is predominately a number 9 .. but is just at home at either 7 or 6 .. pretty damn quick and a very elusive step / runner

Would be glad to if I knew which one was him.

How difficult would it be to add names - great job from the media people at the Tigers.
You need to lift your game! Maybe even give the media a microphone for the coaches interview next year.

Might be good to know the questions rather than have to guess them.

Wouldn't mind that personally, he's been a great player at his time with the dragons and was also named one of the more consistent kickers when he was playing in the NRL.
But there's really no need for him here unless they throw him a one year deal if Laurie doesn't get an early release

Just reading he's desperate to return to NRL and willing to take a huge pay cut in order to make it happen. If legit he'd be the perfect piece to the puzzle and he'd be a handy option at 1 or 6. Not sure the club would go down that road though as one of the main reasons for letting Benji go was we had too many halves on the books. Bit of free cash though with JA now gone and likely Reynolds and Packers cash from next season gone.

He was fairly average in SL this season, he didn't stand out at all. He picked up a couple of injuries across the season and missed plenty of games.

The media over here are linking him heavily with the Cowboys.

Be good if the money was right. Experienced game manager and reliable goal kicker. Be nice to ice some of those close games we've lost in the past with poor goal kicking. Have to play him at 6 or 1.

Just watched some highlights of him he looks quality, any idea of his age?

Could be a damaging no.9 like Cook. He's rapid

We need him at 6. Hooker is well and truly covered. Fit your best players into the 17.

While he is very quick with a great step, he also is strong, has great front on defence and you can tell by his short kicking and passing, the vision that many young halves lack. This latter quality is the most impressive for me.

I thought that we were moving away from being a retirement home for burnt out old players.

He's only 31, hardly burnt out and ready for a retirement home. Benji was still with us at 35. 2yr deal for Widdop with a 3rd in clubs favor if the price is right would be smart business.

As another forum member stated his form in SL has not been great this season. I have also not seen too many players nearing the end of there careers coming back into the NRL and establishing the form they had prior.

Will be hard to find any club taking him back now.

He'll take up a roster spot and potentially block the progression of a young player.

Fair call and valid point. It's more his versatility, experience and goal kicking abilities that I feel would be a big plus but you're right in saying he'd potentially block the progression of younger prospects.

That article on Stefano yesterday included his reasons for coming to WTs. One was that RCG and the big prop ex Raiders were purchased by the Eels and blocked his pathway.

Can't blame him wanting to leave then. Would be nice to see him flourish at Tigers and give a virtual flip of the bird to the Eels. For once it would be nice to see Tigers on the winning end of letting talent go.

If we signed Widdop for 2 years we may aswel have just kept Benji on. No point imo...I like the youthful approach we are taking

My understanding is AD is seen as our long term 5-8 and Brooks is on his absolute last legs as we have big money to spend for 2022

Lets just hope he dispises Matto and Moses.
