Agreed. Widdop is a handy player but I believe AD deserves a proper shot at 6.

He's very aggressive in defence. He would shame Joey Leilua, a man considerably bigger than him.

If we signed Widdop for 2 years we may aswel have just kept Benji on. No point imo...I like the youthful approach we are taking

My understanding is **AD is seen as our long term 5-8** and Brooks is on his absolute last legs as we have big money to spend for 2022

Not sure on AD as a 5/8 .. he's not quick enough off the mark and doesn't have a step that could slide him deceptively through a hole in the defensive line .. ?? To me he looks more like a centre .. and slow one at that .. puts flame proof jacket on :face_with_head_bandage:

He was fairly average in SL this season, he didn't stand out at all. He picked up a couple of injuries across the season and missed plenty of games.

The media over here are linking him heavily with the Cowboys.

Fair enough, I haven’t seen him play since he left the nrl.
I was thinking fullback for one year, but again if he’s not playing well and picking up injuries at his stage in his career it’s probably not in our interest.

Loooking at the exciting young talent coming through it might be the Tigers thinking to keep the cash in the bank to retain young promising stars that may develope next year.I am sure they would be thinking that way.Either way they will still be criticised.
