I've been saying for a while we should target Toupouniua. Every bit as good as Fifita for half the price.

He turned us down last time off contract. All well and good to target players problem is few want to join. Juniors only way forward.

AJ had like 4 or 5 games while showed improvement hasn’t totally proven himself.

Mansour has established himself played finals and still got it.

Not much upside to a 30 year old outside back. lots of upside to a 20 year old who’s only played a handful of games.

Two players with most expectations are Momo and AJ. Momo will be captain next year if he stays healthy.

I can't believe how highly Momo gets rated. I mean captain. He is a fringe first grader.

I met him the other day and he seems a very quiet shy guy, I don't think he comes across as a captain to me.

We need Douehi to go to rep level then captaincy. Closest we have to a star in my opinion.

Lucy was spruiking AD’s leadership in his media duties the other day FWIW. He specifically mentioned AD and Mbye as the two that stood out. Positive signs at least.

I’d love to see Moses find some form, just not sure what he is anymore??

If it’s not fullback or a backup half I think he’s left right out

FB is nearly as important as HB in the modern game. We’re taking a knife to a gun fight if Moses is our FB.

I’d like to know how you think a guy who struggles just to get his big toe into a top 17 side would then be entitled in your mind to get the gig as a NRL Captain...

I think it’s obvious his only ever used as last resort back up option in other words his a stop gap player.

I don't think that, but someone with a fair bit to do with the team does.

You may be right - but we need a top class back rower not someone that is going to transition to back row.

Maybe not Angus (hard to get him away from Rorters but would throw the sink at him) but someone of similar ilk.

The following as well as Angus are off contract at the end of 2021and worth considering imo.

Kurt Capewell, Jack de Belin, Tohu Harris, Jordan Riki, Jaydn Su'a, Sitili Tupouniua, Shane Wright, Isaah Yeo, Hudson Young.

Of course if Blore steps up that would be a big help.

I think the club has high expectation for Blore to step up this year, a lot of faith has been placed in him and I think this is year to step into the light.

100% mate, I had a bit of a chat to him and he is a very likeable guy. I think he is really enjoying his time here and seems to be doing very well under Maguire. He seems a very different player to one I saw at St George, I expect to see him improve again next year, due to starting this offseason in better shape than he did last offseason.

Coming into the NRL playing as part of the WTs' forwards is different to playing as part of the Panthers' pack for obvious reasons. Hopefully this will change but that is reality. Blore has been identified throigh the juniors as a talent and we are lucky to have him.

We cant do much about that. Its on the players in those key positions to back up the faith the coach has placed in them in 2021. Maybe then the perception of this club will change a bit.

For now i think we have done well with the outside backs we have recruited, as good as job as can be expected.

From what I could see, LM was always going to the brotherhood, I think JAC was purely motivated by money (the dogs are a rabble), but I don’t blame him chasing the money.

I think we have a good forward pack developing, which will give the backs some space to do their jobs, no one is poor quality imo, so quietly confident.

Getting B.Smith will be the difference between us being a top 4 side or being a bottom 8 side for the next 10 years.
Imo we can't wait 3yrs to see if one of our current 9s is a rep player then go looking for one if they're not.

This is the biggest get the club could pull off for a long time

Disagree - he is not as good a DH as Liddle - good at a lot of other things but his passing from the ruck is rank.

Thats why he plays for NZ and Liddle struggles to make a side that has finished out of the 8 for 2 decades

If you think Smiths passing from the ruck, or speed from the ruck is better than Liddle - you are delusional.

Besides Liddle can't play for NZ - he is not a NZ'er.
