Thats all u cld commit to at 31...was supposedly after a 3 yr deal with us.
Its a major problem..were the team of last resort for most "premium" players.They'll only come if we offer significant overs...otherwise its a established top 8 team with better facilities and a coach(rightly or wrongly)with a better rep.
Need to get some runs on the board and get rid of the naysayers(the last of which left recently hopefully..tho there may be one or two remaining,but they dont have a media gig so cant do as much damage)

He’s bagging us because we didnt offer imaginary figures, for a player we clearly didn’t want , who was being used as leverage as his manager manages both our winger of the year , and the 31 year old we are talking about . Maybe we just didn’t want him ?

We need variety and speed around the ruck to give the backs a chance.Benji mainly worked the edges,it was too predictable.I think we have got that in Madden and Simkin.Posts continually say ,to young! too inexperienced! So we keep the same plodders in key positions.We need excitement and variety.Give the kids a go.

Here's hoping for a very promising & successful 2021.

Couple Of Things:

Nofoaluma talks are progressing/promising, the sticking point is most certainly the 3/4 year deal side of things, club recently came back with a counter offer of a 4 year deal but the 4th year being in the clubs favor, this was submitted in the last couple days.

Madge/Club really liking the looks of young Allan Fitzgibbion, every chance of snagging a top 30 spot on minimum wage for 2021, only concern is attitude/application towards doing the extras needed but club surrounding with the right people to get him on track.

Panthers still not playing ball in relation to Laurie, but the club will keep a top 30 spot open for him till it has to be filled.

Remaining spot looking to go towards a utility forward/lock.

Mbye has had some discussions with clubs north of the border over the break & would like to move back to QLD but nothing solid yet to come from it. Also Walters to Brisbane talk won't go away, if that does eventuate the club will look for another utility half type for depth purposes, no names yet if this comes to fruition.

Also Cini still likely to leave the club but the spot would more likely be filled with a train & trial player like Tyrone Roberts-Davis

Any idea what the plan is for a backup fullback? Roberts-Davis could do it I guess if he gets a top 30 spot. How’s jimmy the jet looking for round 1? Thanks for the udaiye.

If Mbye injured/not performing Kepaoa has been doing some work with him at Fullback.

The Jet looking fit & happy, could be in for huge year. Really gelling with the team.

Probably the most uplifting post for me in the past couple of years.

Loving the potential difference that Roberts can make to the side and based on his prowess along with the eyesight issue corrected, just feeling the vibe for Kepaoa shining and at fullback if given a shot.

also whats going on with the Mcinnis situation?

Walters won't be ready to start Liddle should get first dig but with Madge it could even get back to pre-season training for first go.

He is more consistent and reliable.His highlights reel will never be all that long but his error reel is far shorter than the other 2

Great that we didn't sign Mansour, would have been a mistake. Unfortunate that we are next to no chance of getting Laurie now.

Our success at fullback this season will come down to one man, forum favourite and inspirational captain Moses Mbye.

Best case, we will just need him to be an absolute rock at the back and hopefully the prowess of Nofa, JTJ and co can get us some tries.

Here’s hoping.

In all fairness, if he can somehow get rid of his flipper hands he'll do fine. Back in 2018 he was one of our best players after coming over from the Dogs.

Yeah he’s had some leg injuries and looked really low on confidence. I remember he had a really dangerous month at FB when he was at Belmore.

They don't call him the 'excitement machine' for nothing.

Not critical of him (unless you bring up that goal he missed). I just think we have too many centres and rather see him go than Talau. That’s based on potential more than anything Talau has done yet though. Momo is like hummus, good but not great.
