4. Wooden Spoon
The poor Wests Tigers, not only will they miss the finals for a tenth consecutive year, but they’ll pick up the wooden spoon along the way. They have some big salaries in Moses Mbye and Russell Packer clogging their cap, a highly rated young brigade with few NRL games between them, a half with 148 games and zero finals appearances, and a lot of inconsistency in the squad. They’ll be the big improvers of 2022, but this will not be their year.

From Jack Blyth , zero tackle..

Cant wait till he's proven wrong..

Strange logic from Jack Blyth? We had Moses Mbye and Rusty Packer in the squad last year and were at the top end of the bottom 8. OK, sure our wingers are shorter than our 5/8 and we have a young squad but we also have new and improved leadership.
I think Broncos and Bulldogs will fight it out for the spoon. It’s gonna take a while to fix the Broncos shipwreck while the Dogs will have defensive issues, particularly out wide.
I hope we’re also underestimated by other clubs.

Yea its a pretty big call - i would put us in a group of about 7 teams that could all potentially get the spoon. Personally i think its between Saints and Cronulla. Throw us in the mix with Warriors, Dogs, Cowboys and Broncos.

What about Manly, they lost one of, if not the best forwards in the comp and replaced him with JA who is ordinary.Plus J and T Toboyderic when he plays carry the sideTommy is brilliant but always injured and Jakes starting to look burnt out playing above his weight.

Big thing for Manly will be Fainu ...not sure what his court case situation is ..but if they get him back ....good player

He knived a bloke mate . It’s hard to see him being back anytime soon , he’s gonna be doing well not to do a stint , let alone play footy any time soon .
Still, if that muppet from the broncos can find his way back in , anyone can .

Anyone got more info on this walsh fella

If we got him I’d be the most happiest person alive.....he’s not big, quite short but the kid is quick, strong and can also ball play quite well...he’s not the current mould of fullbacks clubs are using atm but I have a feeling the small boys are coming back hahah

young fullback, supremely talented player. quick and elusive and a decent passing game. alligns with our recent recruitment drive, but would be hard to prise away from Brisbane. playing him at 1 and Laurie at 6 with Doueihi in the centres would be sensational.

Fox sports saying that McInnes has toured the facilities at concord and wants his future sorted by the end of the month - but hasn’t received an offer from dragons

Also says if dragons sign McCullough it could send McInnes to us and Billy Walters up to broncos - we apparently asked for Reece Walsh in return for Billy which broncos refused

I think the Dragons would be crazy letting McInnes go
He is one of the few worth keeping
But if they did let him go, imagine what the other players would think

Do I hear Eggshells

Wasn't. McInnis firmly in the Mcgregor camp whereas McCullough has a relationshp with the new Dragons' coach?

That’s correct, McInnes was very close to Mary. Could be a reason for leaving

It’s more so him wanting out than dragons pushing him out from my understanding

Never mind - read your last bit

He's also very close to Madge as well from their days at Souths.

Maybe Tigers told Chrichton was no chance ,or just building up the squad.

As reported by the MOLE without revealing the club does any forum members have an insight to which club and the incident that occurred.

RIFTS REMAIN FROM CLUB'S FIERY PRESO NIGHT
One NRL club has some major healing to do before the start of the comp, after a fiery end-of-season presentation night a couple of months back.

Things got heated between both coaching staff and players as the beers flowed after a frustrating season on and off the field.

It's been anything but smooth sailing in the months since and some rifts remain unresolved.

Unless the 'vibe' improves in coming weeks, the club could face a long season.

I either of our current centres don't perform,Kei wil be in the side.BJ is most at risk owing to big money. If both don't get extended, Kei and Doueihi would be a good comb.A lot of ifs.

So the salary cap for 2021 and 2022 has been made official now, wonder if that means the player market might heat up a little bit

Players took a 6% reduction allowing the squads to remain at 30 and clubs being allowed 4 development players. The 2021 salary cap is $9.01 million, and the 2022 cap is $9.11 million.
