Who was the coach when Ikin played for Brisbane , Qld and Australia and What is Ikins relationship with this coach

That coach of Australia in 1998 when Ikin played, didn't coach Australia in 1999
What a coincidence, neither did Ikin

Ikin was OK but I didn't think he was that good

Pretty sure it was Fatty when he debuted for Qld and maybe Peter Louis at Norths, before he went to Broncos

He played SOO during Super League war doubt he would have made it if Super League hadn't
happened.Only other claim to fame is he's the son in law of Wayne Bennett and apparently is a handy golfer

I honestly don’t care one way or the other. I was merely pointing out Bennett didn’t debut him in Origin and he played in a pretty handy Norths team without Bennett.
I’m not one to get spiteful because someone doesn’t think the team I support won’t be successful. I completely disagree with his opinion, but it’s an opinion he is paid to give and he did. End of story.

There’s a difference between a take and an opinion . A take can be motivated by a lot of factors , like ratings for example , or exposure for the person making it . An opinion generally is unique to that specific person . I honestly think that was Ben Ikin having a take . There’s always got to be someone hating on us , and Parra . It just drums so much clicks and conversation.

A) get 2 min wage players from our trialists say Gebbie and Docker Clay and pay say 500k of next years payments to give us more capacity in 2022

B) 1 min wager and wait on a star player to become available sometime in 2021 for release as usually happens.

Im thinking we should pay it into next year. For example if we cover Mbye for 500k ahead then if we need to release him next year early then qe would open up all his salary with a trade deal

No reason we couldn't run with option B until august and then if nothing comes up, move to option A

One more bad season at Brisbane and watch the implosion, might be gettable if the broncos have another shocker while Staggs will warrant most of Brisbane’s attention this year as that’ll be an arm wrestle for them

Feel positive about this year for us I think we’ll send a msg to the NRL that we’re really building something here, and players will take notice making us a good option for free agents, the new centre of excellence will also play a part you’ll see the difference in the amount of players that’ll consider us more strongly due to this

The young pack of Stefano, Twal, Blore, Luciano, Ofahengaue, Musgrove and Mikalae show such promise especially with a leader/mentor in James Tamou, adding another young bright star in the form of Riki could make us such a threat in the coming years

Super league didn’t last 6 or 7 years, he played 17 origins

Super league didn’t last 6 or 7 years, he played 17 origins

BUT if Super League didn't happen would have he played SOO at all because Fatty side and he said it himself was a team of Nevilles that caused the upset

Just need to plan for the next leader of the pack when JT goes. With luck we will develop one. With Hartigan we will get one

Obviously nowhere near his experience but he’s no champion.

Had Riki on my wish list for sometime myself, hopefully having Madge as the Kiwi Coach might be an incentive to bring him down to the WT.

A little update from the Wigan forum regarding Jackson Hastings. It seems that both he and Bevan French are still in Australia ....


* Hastings refused to come back to England's because Wigan refused to release him from his contract.


* Wigan then reluctantly agreed to let him stay in Aus longer.


* Wigan then informed French he could stay longer in line with Hastings stating longer.


* Thats why there is no talk of French being a dickhead.


* Hastings was supposed to fly home this weekend (Again) and so far has managed again to get out of doing so (third time)
