I’m in the minority on Reynolds I think he is the wrong fit for us and is exactly the type of buy we would go hard for in the past.

Yes he is a great player and would change us but next year he is 32. He is injury prone and that doesn’t ease up with age. A 2-3yr deal on high $$$ is a retirement fund.

I’m over us signing old players at the back end of the career. I want some youth & hungry players in our team.

The comparison’s between JRey and Adam are way off in my opinion.

Adam’s strength is his kicking game, that’s not going to suddenly fall away in 2 years from now.

JRey was all about energy and effort but with very limited skill.

I think it is their new negotiation tactic. Walker and Johnston struggled to get deals done. In the end they signed for less apparently

They're doing it because they did it with burgess Inglis and others and it bit them in the ass. He doesn't actually miss many games, played 23 last year, 25 the year before and 24 the year before that.

My only issue would be money. Wouldn't want to pay anytbing stupid for him

Could also be the fact they have like 10+ SOO or rep players in there team (under the salary cap of course) ... Maybe the NRL have said - Hey guys we can let you cheat but its a bit over the top now and attracting interest. :face_palm:

I'm just making the comment now, if something does happen with Adam Reynolds at Tigers, I think it might end very badly. I can't say exactly why but I have a strong feeling his goose is cooked. He often looks injured. He gets a lot of defensive traffic.

He's zero line break assists or try assists so far 2021. In two floggings Brooks has 1 of each.

Reynolds 2020 was 8 try assists in 23 matches, 331 tackles made and 51 missed. It's not great reading. He does his job but where does the attacking flair then come from?

I think there's a very clear reason Souths are only interested in a short-term deal, and I don't think it's because they have the next Luke Keary coming through the juniors.

Well for me I just think you don’t waste money on people with careers at the end of the road. We should have learnt our lessons.
We need young, enthusiastic, tough and talented 5/8 something in a mould of Dylan Brown.

What do you base this statement on? Madden looked poor in both the Trial as well as Rd1 of NSW cup. What makes you think playing NRL would change that?
