I think we should offer josh Dugan a Low contract for maby 2 years he’s been playing really well lately and is good defensively and has a lot of experience

You just know that he will get a season ending knee injury in game 1 for us that he'll never recover from if we sign him. Pass.

I wouldn’t even sign him for a pie and coke

I used have a pie and coke after each game. It was the best.

I think Capewell is a decent player but I think he's flattered by the excellent system he's playing in. He's surrounded by talent.

I could be wrong ..but didn't a Forum member mention that when we chased Capewell last time he wasn't interested in coming here .....

Might sound ridiculous but my brother plays online games with Dugan every now and then. He asked Dugan about playing for the Tigers when he was having contract dramas a year or so back and he said he doesn’t think he’d be able to play under Madge.

It was reported Will Chambers was chasing John Morris for a contract at Cronulla last weekend before he got the boot. Does Chambers become a target for us, at least until the end of the year so we can figure our backline out?

yes will chambers woukd be a great signing

We shouldn't even consider signing him unless it's for a reserve grade contract.

I don’t think he went into specifics, just snickered and said “I don’t think Madge and I would get along” something along those lines anyway. Made sense at the time as Madge is known to train very hard and Dugan has a broken body.

WHY STAR FORWARD KNOCKED BACK TIGERS

Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow has revealed he considered a move to the Wests Tigers before ultimately signing with South Sydney.

The 25-year-old joined the Bunnies this season on a four-year deal but told NRL.comthat while he was with the Titans he “spoke to a few clubs” and the Tigers were one of them.

Tigers coach Michael Maguire flew up to the Gold Coast to meet with the Queensland Origin forward but Arrow says it was the Rabbitohs’ star power as well as a chance to reunite with coach Wayne Bennett and assistant Jason Demetriou that lured him to the club.

“No disrespect to the Tigers, but the proud history of Souths and obviously Wayne Bennett and the coaching staff here is second-to-none. Being back with Wayne and Jason Demetriou helped,” he said of the coaching duo he spent time with at the Broncos earlier in his career.

“The squad and the class of the players here was an attraction.”

**And this is why we don't attract the cream....**

1. Reynolds is a no go. Chronic injury, getting old (i.e. retirement contract) and isn't a stand out at a great team. Red flags everywhere. Did we learn nothing from McQueen?
2. Oates can't even get a run in Brisbane and you think he'll be good for us? Very lazy winger who's often out of position - just what we don't need.

We should go after some hard working, solid players. Jeez Corey Thompson and Paul Momorovski would be nice to have right now. So glad we got rid of two hard working, high effort players for what we have now

In fairness we did swap Momo for Laurie who is one of few hard working and talented players we have. Should never had let Thompson go though, he was good in just about every game he played for us.

Chicken or the egg. We need some star power to attract star power.

But the JTJ / BJ gamble hasn’t worked and now we find ourselves needing 2 centre’s. I still have faith JTJ can come good as for sticking around next year who knows

Would it have really hurt our chances looking back now to wait until 2022 before we got our hands on Laurie? That way we could have both.

Which is why we have to pay 100k more than any other club to sign our next star, we have to get one before anyone else will follow. And yes money is the only thing that will bring quality players to us, just like the dogs.

We just have to choose a player that will make a difference and be fit to play the next 5 years
