Was this on Clarkey's Latest RL whatever..unfortunately he blocked me for asking stuff..

Stuff
What kind of stuff
Fess up
What did you ask you naughty little boy

Well it could have been calling out his 'info'...often.

Interested what your thoughts are on Madge? Do you think he is the rite coach to move us foward or would you invest in some one new?

Will Hopoate would be a handy pick up for the right price.. Pretty consistent and can cover a few positions plus he is still only 28 years old. He would be starting if he was at our club now and he is off contract this year

Mbye MkII vibes.

Yes but he is a lot cheaper and does put his body on the line...

Only slightly cheaper. He's on about 600-650k...

He knows he wont be getting money like that now...
I would offer 400k max and see how it goes

We need to set out sights higher to lift the Club. More of the elite juniors and bring in Morris to strengthen our coaching and development.

Who cares about Izzy. 32 year old has been

still better than our wingers

So are a lot of other players who are younger and have played at least one NRL game in the last decade.

he has won grand finals and played in world cups origins and semi finals
wouldn't be the worst pick up in the world

So has Reg Gasnier, but it's 2021.

Is there a reason we have been so quiet in the player market recently?
I assume there is cap room.
Many other teams are making moves.
Are we targeting specific players or are we being over looked?
It's pretty clear we need some upgrades/depth.

I would assume waiting for the right type of player at the right price. There's definitely a need for outside backs and an edge backrower. We have plenty of depth at Prop, hooker options seem set, full back set and for the most part for now I'd say halves are set.

We will never get the right type of player for the right price when other teams are trumping our offer over or under the table
We must pay overs for one or two players
Players like Brandon Smith and Adam Reynolds
Get those two and others will follow as other players will start to see that we are building a good team
These two players would be draw cards

It didn't work out that way when we signed Josh Reynolds and Moses Mbye.

The key is not so much how much you pay but who you pay it to
Now would you rather pay say $500,000 For Hastings or Say $800,000 for Brandon Smith
Brandon Smith I believe would be a far superior player in the Nrl
Hastings could be a flop
$300,000 cheaper but what is the point of saving $300,000 if he is useless
With Brandon, we can all see what we are getting
A player who likes to get his hands dirty down in the trenches

Who's talking $500k for Hastings?

Interesting karmichaek Hunt is allowed back in the game for drug charges and Israel Folau is probably still going to be knocked back at getting a contract.

Difference is that Folau refuses to say he will not stop speaking out. He didnt get cancelled for his comments. He got cancelled for refusing to agree to the rules set by the governing bodies.

Hunt has said he wont do it again.

Hunt was slinging yayo.... Folau was quoting his invisible friend.

This is the epitome of cancel culture...

100% just like Bluey now not being diverse enough
Bash people come on back to the nrl
sell drugs come on back to the nrl
#Cancel Culture

Hi Jedi if speaking up with actions against someone with influence promoting hate against someone who is a homosexual I need to sign up to this culture.

he has not spoken out in a long time and he said he would not when he signed with Catalan and has not.
Threaten people with violence like Some players hey no problem come on back

Anyone know what the story with TPJ is? That's the type of player we lack...aggressive, runs hard, busts tackles and offloads at will.

I've noticed the broncos have extended young gun Piakura, as well as Riki. Maybe there's a chance.

It's a hypothetical?

Oh right. You could have made it realistic then. $800 for the cheese and $250 for Hastings maybe.

You're delusional if you think Hastings would come to us for less than 450k

Really? What would he be on there?

According to reports he’s on $1m per season at Wigan.

Is there a reason we have been so quiet in the player market recently?

Lachlan Ilias' contract is up for renewal from what I read at Souths. Rather than signing Hastings, I'd bring Ilias back to WTs. Last time I watched him he was very good.
