I realise Lomax is on a new contract but seems a bit unhappy with the situation re the bbq. I know we have tried before but worth another go.

Lomax only lives a couple streets away from me

I’ll go present him a tigers jersey now ?

Start up a vigil on his front lawn.

Or a mariachi band outside to play non stop till he signs.

I can bring my classical guitar and sing la bamba until he caves ?

Ay Caramba!

Hardly surprising. Fitness and attitude have been a problem for him for quite some time now.

Quick update;

1) Tim sheens is boarding a flight tomorrow

2) Tigers confirming with NRL if final spot is still to be filled by 1st of Aug due to Covid

Seems like an incredibly stupid and naive question. Surely all clubs have known what the rules are for some time. We do what we can to get someone from outside and then promote someone like Pauga if necessary

They are asking if the current situation changes the requirement, makes sense to me?

But all the players are in the same bubble in Queensland. We probably wouldn't be asking to bring in someone from outside. If it was a promotion of a junior even then Pauga is already with us up there in any case. So not sure what difference it makes, just that we're stalling

It's not about who is in the bubble, it is about who moves into the top 30 in regards to player payments etc.

I believe the teams in QLD are made up of 30 players plus 11 staff 41 in total.

That is correct, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't take our top 30 players. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that we didn't take Packer for example.

Packer, kepaoa and Musgrove remained in Sydney.

Could have sworn I saw Musgrove in a team photo up in qld

Nope, out for another month as his broken foot required surgery.

We're is that reported ?
This is all I can find on our injuries
Or does Musgrove no longer play 1st grade for us

Just poor reporting by the wests tigers again
Us supporters are left out of the loop AGAIN

Chemist Warehouse Injury Report: Round 18

Wests Tigers can provide the following Chemist Warehouse Injury Report ahead of the club's Round 18 game against the Brisbane Broncos this Sunday at Suncorp Stadium.

As the playing squad and staff head north to Brisbane, winger AJ Kepaoa and forwards Russell Packer and Zane Musgrove will remain in Sydney as they continue to rehabilitate from their respective long-term injuries.

After sustaining an ACL tear earlier this year, Kepaoa is moving through rehab programs as expected is and is currently working through an intense strengthening program. He will return to running in the next four to six weeks as he eyes off a return in time for the start of the 2022 season.

Packer is continuing to work through his knee injury with a gradual increase in his running load at the moment, while Musgrove has been unsuccessful in a conservative management plan for his foot fracture — progressing him to a surgical repair and a non-weight bearing program for the next four weeks.

While the team is in Brisbane, all three players will continue their rehabilitation programs in Sydney under the NRL's COVID bubble restrictions.

I don’t reckon we’ll get any big name signings might get a few on your way up type players like fletcher baker mentioned here if we can fill the squad with those and cut out the dud bj signings might do ok

If we do miss out on TPJ etc I would like to see us get in touch with Joey Manu’s and Sio Siua Taukeiaho’s manager prior to November and see how they are progressing for extensions at the Roosters.
Both are probably paid sub 500k and could both be huge acquisitions for us.
A senior leader in the forwards just shy of 30 but still going well and could lead the way in the front row and Joey Manu best centre in the game and first choice fill in at fullback / five eight if required.

Would offer 700-800k for both. Length of term undecided.

Idea is a package deal may help get them over. Both NZ boys and both off contract at the same time.

Despite being hard to decipher. It appears Marata Niukore is starting prop this week for the Eels.
He might be a good get if he handles it.
Been played in just about every position aside from the spine.
69 games so far and 24 years old.
I actually don’t mind him as a target.
Has a young Sio Siau look about him who from memory started in the centres in the Warriors juniors.

Sio is the Roosters starting prop I was talking about in an earlier post. I was just stating that Marata has a bit of likeness.

Tell ya what’s ridiculous?!
Besides AD,Joey Leilua has been our best centre this season 😂 that’s how poor our outside backs have been.

Scary

Just for some respite, what do we think about Alex Glenn as a signing for us? Senior player, leader and could probably sign him for not much. Seems to me to be a guy that the players like to play with and who might get our guys focused week in week out? Just listening to the way Joe O talks of him, is it a terrible idea? Do we just sign guys for on field performance? I feel like Tamou needs some leadership assistance and Alex could be that guy? Thoughts?

I like Glenn but his better years are gone & would need decent coin to join us which we just wouldn’t get the value - also if Dale or TPJ isn’t good enough for the arm chair critics over what we have then he is no chance to start reggies.
