You really need to examine the last years under Sheens, that was when our cap was starting to get out of control. We started shedding players to stay under the cap.He was nothing special as an administrator despite what you think.

Pauga, Tuilaga, Simpkins and Cooper were added to our top squad.

The squad list is at like 34 players.

Dale Copley has returned to the roosters, lol

I know itw been posted but I forgot he played there in the past.

They've been smashed with losses this year.

Friend, Cordner retirements.
Keary, Verills, others out for a long time.
Morris career ender.

- Tom - anyone think he's worth keeping? I'm not too fussed.

- MCK - is he doing to the Dogs? Great guy but he shouldn't see an extension at the Tigers.

Zac Cini - I'd keep him around for Cup, hopefully continues improving.

Tom Mikaele - not worth breaking the bank for but hopefully sticks around, happy for him to go of we can get some one better.

- Billy is going to join his dad at the Broncos.

Packer - You'd assume Packer is unlikely to get another deal in the NRL.

Alex Seyfarth - Only one on the list who is a must keep IMO.

Tom, Alex & Zac in that order would like to see stay with us but wouldn’t break the bank for any of them.

I’d keep Tom amone also! If anything just for extra depth but I think he’s not too bad if he gets game time!! He hits the line hard which is something our forwards have lacked in the past but if he leaves I wouldn’t be overly upset either!! Completely agree with keeping Tom and Alex also!

You are Not comparing apples with apples. Club had no money back then with less resources and support.

I found Gould's comments interesting.

Given our season tend to agree our board, ceo, Hartigan and madge don't have the experience to get it done. Look how the players, player managers and media have blown up in their faces they don't have the network or know how handle the situation.

Amone was terrible last week doesn't have any impact in defence

Neither did 3/4 of our team ! I like him he’s got a lot to improve on that’s for sure I ain’t saying he’s a superstar I just think he’s got potential

reported on Triple M that Dylan Brown, Clint Gutherson, Reed Mahoney, Ryan Matterson, Isaiah Papali’i and Junior Paulo are all free to talk with NRL rivals as of November 1 as they head into the final years of their deals in 2022.

“I think they have some rocky waters ahead and some turbulent times because they have a really tough draw coming up,” Read said on Triple M.

“They have got Souths this week and are in real danger of slipping out of the top four. Brad Arthur is under pressure. They desperately need Mitchell Moses back and I’m not sure he is back any time soon.

“Beyond that they have the November 1 deadline looming, which is when players enter the final year of their deals and can begin talking to other clubs formally about contracts.

“Look at this list of Parramatta players who are available to talk to other clubs from November 1, Dylan Brown, Clint Gutherson, Reed Mahoney, Ryan Matterson, Isaiah Papali’i and Junior Paulo.

“You are talking there I would say conservatively about $4 million worth of talent, that if Parramatta cannot lock them down in the next 10 or 11 weeks will suddenly be on the radar of a whole lot of other clubs.

“This next two or three months for Parramatta is huge for the coach and a lot of the players and huge for the club.”

Read pointed out that Brown has a player option in his favour for 2022, but the other stars will be hot commodities and will be in line for pay rises making it hard for the Eels to keep them all.

“Dylan Brown has an option in his contract so it will be up to Dylan Brown whether he takes it up for 2023,” Read said.

“But his manager has already sent his name around on a list to see whether he can generate some interest in Dylan Brown.

“Gutherson is an interesting one. Last time Gutherson did his deal with Parramatta it was played out quite publicly in the media.

“Things got a bit tense between Parramatta and Gutherson’s agent Sam Ayoub and in the end I think he took a little less to stay.

“I’m not sure he will do that again this time or at least I am not sure Sam will want him to.

“That is one that I think could become quite protracted and get quite messy.

“Read Mahoney just did a new deal through to the end of next year and his value has gone up.

“Papali’i they got for an absolute bargain. He is on nothing this year and nothing next year. Beyond that he is now a premier back-rower in the competition.

“It is going to be a struggle and they are going to have a battle on their hands to keep them all.”

I'd love Gutherson at this club. He would be a great example of competing on every single play. We need more of that sort of player.

Agree and as much as he comes across as a toss pot he does the effort plays and demands them from his team mates. I would also love Isaiah Papali'i as he is exactly what we need.. 0.01% chance but hey you never know

Gould is 100% correct. Sheens has muscle memory and very connected. He has multiple former players as coaches and administrators. Connected with NSWRL, CRL we don’t have anyone with his boys. Our management is out of their depth.

When things get tough, he can go MIA, just like some of his illustrious team mates,
