This will make us the laughing stock of the NRL if we take back the captain that stabbed us when we needed his commitment.

I think you're right, and I hope no we are not that desperate.

One of our biggest barriers to becoming a formidable side is fixing our image to prospective players. No experienced established NRL player has joined our club in many years, excepting on very sizable overpayments. This is the pattern we have to change, and buying back players who very publicly left us for greener pastures in the past, and are now returning for a retirement fund, will only strengthen our bad history, not strengthen the new one we are trying to build.

Diversity in hair styles is sadly lacking with NRL players . The pseudo Viking mullets are becoming a little passe (don't know how to do the inflection). Kikau's reverse choc top not too bad though. Kev would be a welcome tonsorial addition to the NRL.

Maybe we actually pulled the offer when due diligence was done and we found out about the incident.

Just posted it because there was talk of some interest in Baker. Hopefully no news is good news for Butcher.
