Disappointing end to our season & im puzzled as to why our defence has not not improved under madge
he definitely has the runs on the board i would still give him another year as been said by some who else is available ? benett i would love as our coach, toovey ? sheens ? i think we should go with someone proven not another wild card

I'm sorry it hasn't worked out for Roberts at WTs. He is a player with so much talent and a player I enjoyed watching. He never seemed to be given the space to operate that he needs to be successful.

I think he will be re-signed if not done so already. He is on min wage and can cover Wing and centre where we clearly are short anyway.
Agree that he has not had the space or ball to prove himself but with hastings he might get a shot next year.

The way we used our backline this year was nothing short of criminal. Gone are the days of players being put into holes and running smart lines.

One characteristic of our failed recruitment system is that we acquire a bunch of expensive players we have a problem selling!
It shall tell us that we don't know what we are doing and we don't understand why we bought a particular player! So our "brain trust" goes for the "safest" (for them) purchase - we buy s big "has been" name players like Mbye, Raynolds, Packer, Roberts, BJ L, Tamou etc.!
Something that a club that understand what they need, like the Storm, would never do!

I will say Roberts and Tamou were both low risk, low cost. Roberts for 1 yr and Tamou for 2 at not huge money and Tamou has prob played to his cost
