I thought a genuine game-breaking centre would be our main need for 2022.

Yep lets sign ANOTHER CENTER!

Every hiring, every talk it's CENTER CENTER CENTER.

We have James Roberts I think still on the books, TT and Oliver G.

But hey lets sign another center. Make sure any junior we have with talent knows our back line is blocked for their advancement with 3 people in front of them. (sure the door is still open with recent performances).

We have a problem in our spine, we have one fullback (a good one in Daine Laurie) but yes our problem is in the Centers! *facepalm*

Now I am up for Hiring a Center and wing who defend and play well together. But adding someone new in our backline just resets our defense. People need to learn who they can trust and how to defend. Pairing Nofo or our wing with someone new will take 6 months to get a solid combination.
Heck Adam D. makes sense at Center and up'd our defense there. Make a bid for Jerome Luai and move Doueini to Center.

Unless we are talking a really solid defender who can really up our abilities, why on earth would we hire a Center!
Elliot makes more sense and to get a good pipe from the dogs forward pack makes sense.

We lack for centres - TT will miss half of next season. AJ comes back, but how good we don't know. Gildart will most likely start in KOE and JTJ is yet to have an option taken up on his contract, which leaves us short. Israel Ogden gets a good chance to secure a starting position and the other one is wide open.

So the risks aint worth the rewards for Elliot

Elliott and Sims both make our team a better one.

Sims does. You don’t watch many dogs games I guess. He can’t defend and makes bad decisions and errors. Blore, Luciano are miles better even Garner is better. We don’t need him and he’s over rated badly.

As a squad player I think he adds value to us, but if we want him as a starter then we need to go for Simms.

Defensive wise he doesn’t offer more than Garner or Seyfarth they are all comparable with how bad their lateral defense is.

Attack wise maybe more than Seyfarth right now but Garner line runs are much better & offers us a strike weapon on the edge.

Engine wise is something he offers more than Garner and Seyfarth at the moment.

Age wise Elliot is 27 in October, Seyfarth and Garner are younger.

If we wanted a depth signing then sure snap him up as we are light depth wise in the backrow but as a starter no thanks.

Well Farah was extended after Cleary had signed with penrith so we have a history of doing such dumb things.

Lets be honest deep down we all know Woodsy will be at the tigers next year. No matter who is coach, football manager or ceo we all know he will be back.
