Curtis Scott's management reached out to the club last week to gage interest & proposed a similar deal to that of James Roberts, 1st year heavily incentive based deal with an option for a 2nd year in the clubs favour. The club is taking this into serious consideration since Talau's injury.

Adam Elliott will only be entertained as a possible recruit if his value is far less than that of his Dogs contract with certain clauses in place also.
In all both could be recruited & cost a maximum of 350k-400k for the pair of them.

Sounds like a fair arrangement for Scott and Elliott with costs definitely favouring WT.

I seem to be on my lonesome in thinking Gildart will be a gun centre for us, but I'd be happy to have Scott here as well, especially if it's on a contract similar to the Roberts one as suggested.

The Club’s plans make sense.

No paying overs for has-beens or journeymen out of desperation.

We just need some luck (and improved management) to deliver;

- a marquee player becoming available and we’re
Jonny on the spot.

- Attract a few mid tier 80-150 game players.

- 2-3 guns coming out of Flegg.

- the 8-10 good young guys currently in the NRL squad coming good.

To be fair for a lower amount he would be a handy pickup for us young team. He would come off the bench and you know he would give his all to end his career here and even extend it with some good footy. When Stefo comes off he could come on and fill the gap better then some of the ones we currently have.

That would be a crazy coup for the tigers. Decent upgrades, especially Scott at centre. For those dollars it's a no-brainer - both guys to have no-alcohol clauses in their contracts of course.

Really not enthused about Woods either. Would prefer we go for another young prop who will run hard. Woods still makes metres but they're the typical stat padding runs we always got from him at Wests.

Having said that, I'd rather pick up Scott, Elliot and Woods for 650K all up than sign Kikau for $900K.
