I have watched a few Wigan games in the past few months when we signed Gildart. But I havent seen anything miraculous from him . I havent seen him take the tough runs out of trouble or make something from nothing with early ball. Cant see him being the strike center we need. Hope Im wrong.

Woods isn't terrible but what's the point? It's not a future signing and we're not competing next year, so there's no reason to sign him.

Clear out our bad contracts, top-up/upgrade our good players and spend the money on midseason buyouts for good players being forced out of teams. Not too hard.

Well it would be nice to win the occasional time. I know we’re not going to compete next year, but I don’t want to have a season like the Bulldogs.

We have plenty of spots to fill and it would be nice to fill some of them with players who are consistent first graders.

I'm kind of surprised at the negativity towards Amone.
I can't say I've seen him play heaps of games, but I remember him making some tough, hard runs.
maybe I'm confusing him with someone else ?

Amone is a keeper , just needs game time , when he was bought on most games we’re gone , good off season and he will go ok and not expensive

Really not enthused about Woods either. Would prefer we go for another young prop who will run hard. Woods still makes metres but they're the typical stat padding runs we always got from him at Wests.

Having said that, I'd rather pick up Scott, Elliot and Woods for 650K all up than sign Kikau for $900K.

I do not want Woods at any price. Need to set a standard at the Club.

For mine a Mikaele can grow into a prop that would exceed Woods. no need for Woods and Tamou.

Tamou would have to go to.

He saved his biggest use of the pom poms for the coach in the last few days, arguably saving the coaches job. I doubt Madge’s show of gratitude will be to shop him around.

A few nervous breakdowns will be had if Hastings isn’t 7 methinks.

Always thought of him as filling a ball playing lock role if not the 14 to take over from Mbye, though will be surprised if he isn't playing in the halves to open the season due to Doueihi's ACL. With Adam not meeting the expectations of many when playing there, I would now be unsurprised if Jackson remains there with Doueihi at centre.

That and we don't currently have an NRL standard halfback at the club

If you saw him play you wouldn't be so bold.

He might go OK at some local stuff but he's shown nothing that he will excell...

I love being wrong about players so I hope he carves up but the expectations should be very low for Oli G.

If he performs as well as Pauga, you can consider his season a success... and again, that's IF he even makes it on the field in a first grade jersey.

Played only limited minutes. He doesn’t jump off your screen and say first grader. We have enough plod.
