We need a centre & he is the best one off contract & will have one more chance to prove himself.

One of the best wingers in the NRL.

Great utility player but I would put him in at lock.
4.Tariq Sims
We need aggressive strong running forwards & he is definitely that.

Oh don't say that.

He was already going to be off contract, so they've effectively only sacked him a month out anyway. And that being known, we'd have already been linked to him I reckon, if anything like that was on.

I agree with you on BJ. I don't believe Roberts is lazy. He lacked opportunity in our backline.

Elliot is not lazy. If it was a one-off occurrence I would be interested. But it is repeated.

I noticed Roberts was always quick to give up on the chase after a fast break, so it that respect yes, he’s lazy.

Some talk on NRL360 of potentially Ciraldo to be head coach. What are people's thoughts? I think it could be a circuit breaker. Pair him with Sheens as a mentor who could add clout to our brand and ability to attract players, and put the right assistant coaches around him (mix of steady older respected guys and other rising younger assistants) and we might start to build a bit of buzz for recruiting.

He could probably jag a couple of key blokes from his Penrith knowledge and links to them, and it might just be enough to get another couple of key potential recruits over the line as well. Once you can start building momentum as a destination club, it can snowball.

Could possibly build instant rapport with our young core as well and bring them on even quicker. Couldn't do worse in terms of our current defensive structures. Could be a corner turner moment.

I can see Ciraldo doing a Ivan Cleary to us. Penrith will want him back when they sack Ivan Cleary at the end of 2022.

Panthers won’t dump Ivan until they’re ready to punt Nathan.

Wanna bet? He'll get next year... That squad will start to dis-assemble and the window will close, If he goes out in straight sets this year he'll be under pressure... If they don't do well next - I certainly wouldn't be betting on him to hold his spot.... Especially if the want for Ciraldo at another club increases - They'll be forced to chose, Ivan will be finishing up a contract - And it won't matter to them....

Absolutely. Ivan has this year and next year to deliver. That is why Ciraldo will not leave. They have a tough ask to get to the GF now through Melbourne and if they fail next year they will decide that he looks tired again.

Secondly, this shouldnt have happened twice - obviously Elliot has a kid and missus and decided to do the deed again..

I thought we were building a culture in our club not only just on the field performances (If any).

Im un-decided if it will be good signing or not.. great player, someone we need - but has he cut out all the crap OFF the field is what I'd like to see.

Tell him to get his stuff together and focus on the career, one strike and you're out clause in the contract. Any club doesn't need that publicity.

Peter Vlandys likes him and spoke glowingly of him with regards to what he does off field for charity and community, such as indigenous welfare, youth, etc.

There's a good person in there some where and also a good footballer too.
He could help us and we could also help him, with our current links to Awakbal and the like.

It's a good match and will be much more beneficial for all, compared to BJ, Roberts.

It all comes down to Adam Elliot.
He needs to pull his head in and do the right thing off the field and by himself, his family and his future club.
