I generally have an aversion to these cast offs. I dont see them as the way forward but I can see some merit in Scott (with all the necessary contract clauses), Sims and possibly Peachey.

Avoid at all costs Woods and Elliott

Thank you.........STOP bringing up Sharron.......... opportunity to be a respected clubman has long gone DONT need more retirement villages

Yes, the retirement village had been demolished.

I listened to Phil Gould and he commented at the right price he would be a good buy. With all those posts suggesting we lack leadership, well here is our chance to get some. Sheens would know better than anyone what value he could bring to our club.

Then let phil Gould give him a contract........ wont happen naturally. Iam sure Gould is looking after tigers building program

Compare this years team to...

1 Laurie
2 Nofo
3 AJ / Talau / Gildart
4 Scott *
5 Maumalo
6 Hastings
7 Brooks
8 Twal
9 Liddle
10 Utoikamanu
11 Elliot *
12 Blore
13 Peachy *

14 Offa
15 Woods *
16 Seyfarth
17 Luciano

Tell me if it isn't the better team?
Cmon now... don't lie.

There's no way Elliott is a better player than either Luciano or Garner. Stats back it up

I disagree My man.
Luciano struggles with 80.
Elliot has a good tank.
I don't rate Garner.
Hoping he's off to Manly.

Stats don't back that up. LL has better stats that Elliott in every facet of the game.
Beats Elliott in runs per game metres per game. Misses less tackles per game, makes less errors per game, gives away less penalties per game. Also more potent in attack with more tackle breaks per game and more try and try assists.

Statistically Elliott is one of the worst 2nd rowers in the entire NRL for 2021. He's worse than what we have

I'd be genuinely shocked if Sharon didnt end up here, i dont want him either he did his dash years ago. But the redemption feel good factor of bringing him home will be too hard for our imbeciles to pass up.

Yep will be great to have our side run on and crowd start booooooing him , we have our own feeling about his actions and mine wont change

Was just about to say the same thing. I was happy to cheer Benji and Farah on their returns. Woods well it is what it is

I'd be surprised if there isn't already a signed contract with Woods name on it somewhere in Justin's office right now.

If there is a contract in his office, I hope that he goes on holidays again.

Our mob should put it out there, any would be coach who can actually attract three quality footballers in their prime or about to hit their prime, who is not carrying any injuries and plays in positions we need….gets a three year head coaches deal!!

Because it would appear at present the only players on the radar are players looking for their last contract in the NRL or players booted from their previous clubs, who are trying to avoid going to ESL to revive their career due lack of interest in the NRL

Normally this time every year, after another failed season. We are normally talking about player recruitment. For some strange reason not one word has been spoken, I know they are currently reviewing the season BUT if Madge was staying, wouldn’t you think we would be affiliated with prospective target signings! 🤔🤔🤔

It’s hard enough for us to attract players when they know who the coach will be, let alone when they don’t.

In my view, we'd be more successful if players are aware Maguire is leaving.

I think you’re right about that!!
As if it wasn’t bad enough going from 9th to 11th and now 13th this year, but on top of that, we finish off the year not scoring one point in our last game against the wooden Spooners.

Cmon now... don't lie.

Whether it is or it isn’t, it’s still a bottom 4 side.

9th.

Building on the present.

Man I am hoping we don't sign Elliot.. Yeah, not too bad of a player - but would you really want to play with someone who will try to cut your grass at team functions lol?

How likely do you think that is to happen?
Lol, surely lightning won't hit twice.

For the record, he tried it on former team mate Michael Lichaas Mrs.
Not sure who was at fault, both, just him or just her.... their business.

The recent news I believe she is a single lady.

End of the day, not a serious crime.
Days of our lives stuff.
Don't even care to hear about it tbh.

Well from what it was reported is that Lichaa decided to go to bed early, woke up and seen his missus wasnt next to him, went out the back and seen them making out LOL, i'd crack the bloke and tell my missus to piss off aswell.

Secondly, this shouldnt have happened twice - obviously Elliot has a kid and missus and decided to do the deed again..

I thought we were building a culture in our club not only just on the field performances (If any).

Im un-decided if it will be good signing or not.. great player, someone we need - but has he cut out all the crap OFF the field is what I'd like to see.

Wouldn't even make news if it was Barry from Woy Woy Roosters...

Tell him to get his stuff together and focus on the career, one strike and you're out clause in the contract. Any club doesn't need that publicity.

Elliot is a footballer, as I've said. Always has a crack. Yeah, the Bulldogs aren't that good but he always has a dig.

I'd take him but yeah no dramas, don't want that embarrassment and neither should he.
Peter Vlandys likes him and spoke glowingly of him with regards to what he does off field for charity and community, such as indigenous welfare, youth, etc.

There's a good person in there some where and also a good footballer too.
He could help us and we could also help him, with our current links to Awakbal and the like.

It's a good match and will be much more beneficial for all, compared to BJ, Roberts.

It all comes down to Adam Elliot.
He needs to pull his head in and do the right thing off the field and by himself, his family and his future club.

Maybe Elliot should listen to Nathan Brown’s comment about a Wayne Bennett’s time in Newcastle during one of his interviews when he was the Newcastle coach when he said, “if Wayne was thinking with his big head instead of his little head….”

Bit of common sense goes a long way.

No idea why or how some of these lads get into the trouble they do but yeah, we've all probably be in some silly situations ourselves over the years.

Only difference, these guys are in the spotlight...
