THats actually a pretty impressive reel for a change. Hate to say it but runs like Teddy.

Dont see it

Something about the way he lowers his body height as he hits top gear.

Think Ted had more speed at his age.

Don't know about that - Dillon can motor - he's on par with Papenhuyzen for speed.

You reckon?

Absolutely, aside from Jordan Hill who spent most of the season injured, Dillon is the quickest player in the the WT Flegg team.

Going off his highlights I see a bit of Reese Walsh style in him.

I almost think he's a Tedesco/Papenhuyzen hybrid. he looks a very very good prospect. he has the strength, pace and evasion required to return the ball and make things happen off attacking shapes, but I was just as excited by his long balls, even though they need some work. he has all the tools, just needs some refining. wouldn't surprise me if he moves Laurie to 6 or 14 in the next few years.

I see him as our long term fullback and he reminds me more of Papenhuyzen with how he moves - absolutely electric off the mark and not afraid to play through the middle. Covers the 100m in about 11 seconds which is on par with Pap. Jordan Hill is a little quicker and hopefully Hartigan can convince him to stay.

What’s the current status with Hill? Was he signed , signing with Cutters or in talks with them? Is it due to the uncertainty around whether the comp will start up again next year?

WT have been late to the party in re-signing him due to his ACL injury. There's some moves planned to try and keep him as he's not quite locked into going to Mackay just yet.

Is he from Queensland originally? I know he was part of the Holy Cross footy team but do you know how long he has been in our system.

What is the lure to Mackay?

I think @Aubanon has some links to Jordan Hill? Maybe he
Can post to tell us exactly what’s going on with him

Hey Guys;

- Jordan is a local - lives in Putney, went to Gladesville Public and then Holy Cross
- Has a family link to Mackay and as they showed him some love, lined up potential suitable employment and a pathway to Cowboys he signed heads of agreement type doc
- Tigers finally got wind and made direct contact with family
- A meeting was discussed (Yet to be arranged)

Punt Nofa even Ferguson would be good in his place for a year

Every day of the week. Nofa has really disappointed me. He is only in it for Nofa!

Madge on the phone trying to get that swap for Cotric on...

And some of yas thought it was fake news.

Read on here that Gould stated Madge enquired about a players (plural) trade, could Luke Thompson possibly be another? Haven't really heard much follow up from the speculation surrounding him either.
Wouldn't mind Cotric, as long as it's not Corey Allen or someone else like that.
Who else do the Dogs have?
I honestly don't mind us considering other recruitment options. Even a three way trade with two other clubs would be fine.
It's probably really the only avenue we can take (or that is available to us) to strengthen next year's roster.

Im a fan of Paulo and agree with everyone else - that I hope the club are targeting him. He's already worked with Stefano and could be a great asset to the team.

dogs are looking for a halfback, wouldn't surprise me if they tried to grab Brooks in a trade with Thompson. unsure if it'll come to fruition but they have some decent players on inflated deals, Cotric certainly comes to mind there. unfortunately though these are incredibly difficult to make work, as we learned with the Momo/Laurie trade.

Liddle & Brooks for Thompson & Cotric.

Benefit both clubs.

The family just wants to see a proper plan around him development wise - not this 1 year stuff (Even if it has incentive clauses due to ACL concerns). He loves his teammates and the club and wanted to stay loyal.

Honestly - if the tigers pulled their fingers out - I would say 100%. Realistaclly, 50:50 ATM

That just sounds so amateur. We have a whole pathways department, and not one person spoke to a great wing prospect, a local boy, about extending his stay in the club? Even informal talks? We value you, see a bright future with you and want you to be part of our future success. Contract talks will wait until September due to XYZ but we definitely want you at this club.... It's not rocket science to make a kid feel wanted.

Are they unsure who's job it is to do this with the new structure? We need to re-sign at least half of the current flegg squad, sure some will get cherry picked, but we need to foster the relationship with tehse boys and make them want to stay together and win together.

Is he from Queensland originally? I know he was part of the Holy Cross footy team but do you know how long he has been in our system.

What is the lure to Mackay?

I think @Aubanon has some links to Jordan Hill? Maybe he
Can post to tell us exactly what’s going on with him

Hey Guys;

That just sounds so amateur. We have a whole pathways department, and not one person spoke to a great wing prospect we had about extending his stay in the club? Even informal talks?

Are they unsure who's job it is to do this with the new structure? We need to re-sign at least half of the current flegg squad, sure some will get cherry picked, but we need to foster the relationship with tehse boys and make them want to stay together and win together.

There is more stuff that I know that im sometimes reluctant to post - dont want it to appear as though Im inflating this kid's potential (or unduly bagging the club).

The one thing I have found surprising is that he has had no direct contact from the indigenous elements of the club. What I mean by that, no discussion around work outside of footy or education.

These are the areas we keep hearing the club has made improvements in, yet here is an example of it not working. I get Covid has derailed the last 2 seasons, but sometimes we're talking about something as small as a telehpone call.

Why not offer him a development deal where say in 2023 he joins the top 30 with an option for 24 can't see how he will break the bank and could be a 10 year player for us if he reaches his potential.

Really hoping Madge starts using his Kiwi connection once Nov1 hits. Looking at those available to negotiate we got Brandon Smith, Joey Manu, CHN.

Madge also has a good relationship with Harry Grant it would seem, and he is a cult hero here even if he’s just in our hearts.

Other notables I’d be keen on for good $ would be Farnworth (GK/centre), SST and Angus.

Assuming Storm win the comp this year, that would make most those guys premiership winners, and maybe more likely to try a new challenge of sorts building from the ground up?

Would be great if we can get any of those guys particularly the Storm and Roosters crop

This doesn't exist. No one is joining just because madge coached them in an intl a year or two ago

Well it wouldn’t be the only reason. Previous working relationships definitely have an advantage if the relationship was good in my opinion.

If I personally was head hunted by a company with someone I didn’t know and a second competing company with a former work colleague/boss, it would be convenient and comfortable to make the latter switch, provided I got on well with said former boss/colleague.

Obviously other factors come into play (e.g - money, location, work environment, colleagues, and career betterment) but I think previous working relationships would have some bearing on the result (whether good or bad).
