Just read in the tele that Eels are in negotiations for Nick Cotric. Lets hope we are too. Would be a big improvement in the centres for us.

That was my first thought when they kept him - they didn't get the response they wanted from potential coaches so stuck with Madge

This infuriates me.
Really I feel like saying a big sucked in to us.

I mean we didn’t think him a priority last time so much that we tried to bully him into accepting an offer with a deadline even though he was still contracted to Brisbane.

Souths took a punt when he was questionable and it paid off and now our stupid club being unhappy with the coach they chosen wants to try and lure the SuperCoach here after he has resurrected himself.

I will tell you now signing Wayne Bennett in 2019 would not of had the Tigers in a GF in 21. In fact I I doubt we would of even got into the finals.

Concerned we had no back up plan,and even more concerned that Madge retained by default..I was hoping he had pulled something out of his back pocket during his presentation that was a revelation to the Board as to how things will change
Sounds like more of the same....whilst waiting for a miracle

With the new QLD team for 2023 it just made it even harder for us to pickup quality players at the right price (even if we could). We are effectively now stuck on the new mantra of develop from within . Is Madge the coach to motivate and develop youth?

Well he was the one who signed all the good ones currently filling our roster out . I think he’s the right guy , he just needs to accept he’s moved the “manager” role , that happens when these guys get older. The smart ones surround themselves with guys who are fresh with fresh ideas .
That’s his real issue. He still thinks it’s 2011 and he’s the fresh new coach . That’s 10 years ago. Might as well be 1980 , with the speed of which tactics and the game moves.

Man , that happened the moment super league came in . We just haven’t realised it , because FOX , I mean the NRL, continue to sell nostalgia .
SL won that war by a landslide , it’s just taken us 20 years for that to sink in .

The soulless corporation has been in place for longer than we all care to admit .

Bulldog fans: Nik Cotric going nowhere. Rival club made quiet approach a month ago. The offer was never serious consideration. We said no. Nik very happy at Bulldogs. Doesn’t want to leave. Bulldogs do not have cap problem. We have a losing problem, which we will work hard to fix

Agree 100% . Hope he can change and we can hire some assistants that can move from on from 2011 tactics and also be given the chance to be the next head coach and not smothered by self protection like he has done the past couple of years with Snoop and Millard. Even the KOE coach who people are impressed by came from a prior association with Madge.
