I did say Taylor was close to signing with us earlier this week, could be him. Him or Napa are pretty nothing signings, can't really get excited over them.

Bryce Cartwright has proven that away from the Gold Coast and on a reduced salary that if you can find the fire in the belly that you can turn your career around. Ash Taylor is one of the most talented halfback's I've certainly seen in my time. if Madge can get him to have a massive preseason and buy in, then who knows? it might prove a masterstroke.

At Brisbane and first year at Titans, he was awesome.

At Leichhardt in 2018 he single handedly tore us up and I was in awe of the difference between him and Brooks. He has incredible ability. I have no idea what has happened to him.

I’d take Ash on a 1 year deal. We need the halves depth. Goal kicker as well. No way in hell to Napa. Zero Upside

People forgetting Doueihi probably misses at least the first month, Madden is unproven, Hastings, as much as people want to pump his tyres up is also unproven. And he’s cheap. It’s a low risk signing.

He can also kick goals.

I am very bullish on Ash Taylor if we can get him. You aren’t offered $1m contracts like he has previously if you can’t play. He has had a few mental dramas but if he gets it together, could be a great addition.

Taylor on a cheap short term deal would be shrewd, covers Doueihi's absence, puts some pressure on Brooks and would still allow Hastings to play in the 14 role he was originally purchased to do.

Tamou came out and arguably saved the coaches job. I doubt the coach shows his gratitude by moving him on.

Ash taylor - played 16 games , inconsistent, disappears in games , is scared to take the line on since his hip injury , **looks like sloth from the goonies**

I know who I'm taking and its not sloth I agree with @Russell if Hastings is halfback and given the reigns he will be in conversation for halfback of the year

Ash Taylor is a must sign then! Sloth is strong, faithful, compassionate and unyielding. Traits this team needs!
