Try telling the knowalls that we need experience and they will say there is nobody out there ,we could do with a Sims , Peachey ,Elliott or even a Chris Smith who does have injury probs at times but quite a handy footy player , would be a good 13

Just because a player is experienced doesn't mean he will be good for WTs. I'm glad Sims is staying. The Dragons have purchased a few players so perhaps another player will have to offloaded to compensate for Sims remaining. We should be looking at that player.

Not a lot there that would add much to our side. Maybe Jackson Ford. He was an absolute stand out coming through lower grades hasnt really kicked on in first grade. Or
Faamausili. Was a part of the Roosters premiership squads (not the top 17) and should be hitting his peak aged 25. Both off contract end of 22 so an early release wouldnt be inconceivable. Wouldnt mind either but neither would get me excited.

Why are people mentioning Elliott as a good signing? He was one of the poorer players for the worst team in the NRL

Peachy can do a job.
I like this signing.

Smart.

Very smart, he has skill. Off load Brooks. Play Peachy at 6, Hastings at 7, Douehi 3 and Gildart 4.

Gildart won't see a lot of FG, if any. Peachy provides some utility value so I'd be playing him at 14.

I find it very difficult to believe we’ve brought him over to play KOE cup

Just need to look at the difference in quality between the UK and here - this bloke struggles to defend in the Super League. People were quick to write off Junior Pauga after two games but he's better than Gildart.

We'll agree to disagree then. Gildart will be mollered over here.

Project player.

AFL do it all the time.
He's probably on a low salary and if he makes it, it's good and if he doesn't, it doesn't matter too much.

He's not a first grade player at this stage.
A lot of work to do.

Expectations are seriously low but he doesn't have much competition at this stage so if he impresses the spots his for the taking. From what I've seen though he ain't taking anything except a beating though.

Havent seen him play so wont comment on if he walks into the 17 but the guy has 4 tests to his name. I cant imagine he would be a lowly paid project player.

He should be...

Watched him in ESL and he's extremely average.
Good luck to him though.

Seems a likeable guy.

I also find it very hard to believe an English outside backs would leave the UK and his home for little money. The people that assume he won’t play are just the people who don’t rate him off highlight packages and a couple SL games

Not uncommon for Brits and Aussies alike to head to the other country for a gap year or some working visa deal.

Know a few lads who moved to England and worked as bartenders. Just for the experience.

This could be no different.
Bit of travel, see the other side of the world whilst getting paid.

No signings yet ......thought not ....see you in another 40 pages

Maybe everyone just needs to stop posting. You know that old saying once you stop wanting something, you get it? I wonder if the person who coined that phrase knew how powerful this forum is when it comes to WT’s signings and if the phrase still rings true for us.

This is a Suggestions and RUMOURS thread, what do you think? By definition if it was solid it wouldn't be a rumour.

I don''t know but people are saying his wife has started following Tigers on her social media.
I don't have an account to check this but if true that would be a good sign as why else would she do this
