Basically we have to target good young players who are road blocked in good systems who are flying under the radar

I agree wholeheartedly with this.You have to build a solid base and finally the penny seems to have dropped at the club and we are starting to do so.If we get that right then we will get good players wanting to come here for their correct value

Think theres a reasonable chance Bellamy will release Munster before next season starts to a Qld club for next year,given player has publicly stated he yearns to" return home" in 2023
Besides having had very n ordinary 18 mths on the footy field for both Storm(they looked considerably better with Hynes at 6,who is now gone) and in SOO where he was invisible ,plus his coke habit,and worst of all Munster looked way overweight dancing on that table and iy=t was just after the prelim final
Bellamy wld be fuming, and quite possibly may take a stand to clearly set standards within the team
And whichever Qld club takes him in 22, may have to shed players to accomodate Munsters $700k..quickly

18 months? He was Wally Lewis medalist and Storms best player in their finals series last year. He started this year off slow but kicked into gear all but the prelim.

Storm isn't gonna let Munster go without a fight. If they want to get rid of him, they will wait until ana amazing offer comes through and they have a better no.6 signed up.

very unlikely but if we got one of them Storm would not release until 2023 season so only 1 year left for Liddle and if he knew he was out he would find a club earlier..

quite a few off contract from end of 2022 and available to sign elsewhere from Nov 1 so don't want to get into a bidding war. LL, Twal, TT etc.. plus add the extention to Stefo & Laurie. I am sure the club wants them but the longer it takes the more I think there managers are holding out for other options to consider.

We have no leaders on the field. I personally believe it's that simple.

When the chips are down on field, there is no one there to read the riot act. No one holding others accountable. No one to stand there and say "I'm not taking this **** any longer!"

It's just players looking at each other with that stupid look. It's a mental game every bit as it is physical. Who is going to stand there and say "get your **** sorted lads!" ?

agree 100% You add 2-3 real leaders to this team this year and we make the 8..
Everyone keep saying Juniors are our way out of this and yes I agree to an extent but without leaders WHO is leading them and showing them what right or wrong..
Who are they -- IDK but we need to buy some before we lose some of these exciting juniors to other clubs as we lack leadership they crave.

If someone makes an offer for LL then he should be encouraged to take it. We need someone who can defend - imo if we we had Matterson still on that edge and not Luch then we play finals this year

I understand and agree 100% on his defensive struggles.
I think he is not an 80min players but seem to have a big impact on team morale. I would not break the bank for him but happy to keep him.
