I think it will be Simpkin on the move in 2023
Lol no it won’t. He has a long term contract, Liddle doesn’t.
3 years is long term, but 2 isn’t?
Are you just realising 3 is a bigger number than 2 ?
Don’t deflect. Are you trying to say 2 years isn’t long term?
I’m not deflecting. No 2 years isn’t long term. If I sign someone to a 2 year deal around this time starting season 2022, he can sign with a rival club a year later. For a club that has no stability like us, 3 years is a long term deal.
You are reading too much into it.
That’s rich. Go fishing somewhere else
You do realise that 2 year contracts are standard across the competition right? And it doesn’t mean the players who sign them aren’t valued by their clubs?
That doesn’t change the fact it’s a short term contract
You’re wrong brother
Mm don’t think I am mate. Just because they’re common in the league. Ideal amount of time for a player to be tested out by a club sure, but they don’t scream security.
IMO it’s good if a player doesn’t feel secure. They will work harder to improve. It’s a good thing if they are in demand. Means they are a better than average player. As a club we need to improve on retaining the better players.
