I would be disappointed with Hodgson signing, Canberra would not be letting him leave for just any reason, he looked busted the last couple of years, this would increase young Simpkin chances of leaving early, he is the future. Either Simpkin or Liddle would have to go.

Problems there all year between Hodgson, Stuart and Canberra regards Williams going back to England amongst other things.
He was professional enough to play out the season without sniping or not putting in.

I used to love him but lost all respect after he bagged us out with his Pooper interview on fox. I still cant believe he did that to his junior club whilst being captain. The hide of him.

I used to love him but lost all respect after he bagged us out with his Pooper interview on fox. I still cant believe he did that to his junior club whilst being captain. The hide of him.

That's fair enough too. I view him as a knockabout type who was promoted to captain at a young age and at a very difficult time at WTs. We had so many very good young players and the bigger clubs were never going to be satisfied until we were plundered. It was plain as day to see at the time.

I'm ok with the Hodgson signing if it happens. Simpkin will learn more from Hodgson than Liddle and from last years results, Simpkin still isn't completely ready for 1st grade and long minutes. We need leadership and someone with a competitive drive and I think Hodgson will bring it. If we sign him for the right price and for 2 years, Simpkin will be ready to take over when the contract is done. If there's truth to Liddle not being happy at the club that's supported him throughout his injury riddled career then he needs to go and make a fresh start somewhere else.
