Of we are looking for leadership, I think Hodgson

Api doesn't seem like a vocal leader and what he did in SOO camp shows his character

Also 1 more comment about the brooks thing . How many halves in the comp, are the actual game winners for thier teams . Like “the” guy . It’s not Moses , not DCE , cleary , you would say yes , not Hughes . The last generation skewed our view on what a half is supposed to be . Thurston , johns , Cronk etc . I think it all needs to be kept in perspective .

I have to disagree on Cleary. He is not a game winner. A good kick of the ball , but a choker. Unless his team is dominating , he has nothing. He rides on the backs of talented teams to success.(eg Penrith & the Blues. ) When those teams under the pump he goes missing.His nick name is Blister... he only turns up when the hard work is done.
On Brooks, I think Hastings at half to control the game, Brooks to 5/8 & let him run & play football. We have a time before Douhie is back so see how the combo goes & if its not working Brooks will have used up all his chances & will have to go.

When AD where does brooks go?

If its working, probs AD to centres. Its a hard one because I think at this point, AD is the best 5/8 we have. Love how when nothing is on outside him he just takes on the line & usually makes 10 or 15 meters from nothing. Also puts defence in 2 minds later in the game to wheather he will pass long or go himself.

If its working, probs AD to centres. Its a hard one because I think at this point, AD is the best 5/8 we have. I think ADs will be in centres, he really needed this offseason to work on his game at 6. I think the off season is a bigger loss than the games he will be out for.

Seems an odd one. A local boy and junior from a very young age, highly thought of at the club. Went from SG Ball to NSW cup this season.

Would be a real tragedy to lose him. Gun back rower, a position we lack. A Ryan Hoffman type. Cleary would have known about him as he was one of the few standout juniors we had back then.

If we get Api/Hodgson then Liddle seems the odd man out. If that's the case then Brooks to 14, filling in at hooker after 25 mins of Simpkin starting the game. Brooks mightn't like being a 9 but if we are paying him good $$$ then he just has to suck it up for the time being.
