Is momirovski really that good or has he just been in good systems??

He learned his trade at the club with the best systems in the comp. The Tigers.

We all know its Bullsh#t but you and I both know the media will turn it around and put our club as the bad guy…

If we all know its garbage, then rugby league supporters generally will also know it's garbage.

I'm constantly surprised at how sensitive our forum members are to negative comment in the press.

On this forum, rugby league journalists are held in contempt. We regard them to be on a par with gossip columnists in the lady's magazines. I'm sure that supporters from the other clubs feel the same way.

And yet, when a story like this emerges, some start to stress about what others might think.

They will probably view it as I do. These are the comments of an entitled, lazy, underperforming, overpaid player, who is unable to recognise his own shortcomings, and views his own failings as someone else's fault.

BJ has form for this. He condemns himself out of his own mouth.

Do you know what goes a long way towards overcoming these negative stories and the commentary around them? Success and good news. Do you have any?

You reckon anyone seriously listens to Joey Leilua?

Maybe the young fella working Maccas drive thru

Here's an idea player swap

Tigers get Api
Panthers get LL

LL fills that 2nd row spot left by Capewell
We have blore and garner fill the 2nd row with kelma bench

Hey, hey slow down eyeofthetiger, this is the 'signing' thread. Please only spurious rumours, 'insiders' whose info is always wrong, repetitive whining about Matt Eisenhouth and Momorovski and comments that re-live all the classic highlights of how we have been terrible recently. Actual signings? No thanks.

Don't dis the Huth please ....

Thought I might post an actual signing lol

Lot of great footballers have come from Toowoomba and the Darling Downs Big Artie ...Lockyer ......lets hope he manages to match one of these two

Actually we had another signing from Redcliffe

BQM was playing the majority of his footy from Redcliffe when he wasn't benching it up for the Broncos ....

We have also signed Vincent Pereira from Ipswich.

I'll ask some questions ....

Destination club apparently, but everyone keeps on getting off at the wrong stop ?

Stop falling for media spin.

Or forum spin.

He applied, talked about being keen on joining, interviewed for the role, and then pulled out around the same time the club appoints someone else. Sounds realistic.

Who have we signed?

Maybe we signed someone when he pulled out?

Also on Zero tackle ,Ash Taylor turned his nose up at a 2 yr Tabled Tiger deal to go to Warriors on train n trial , i find that hard to believe

There's no way in hell that's true. $1000 per match or a proper contract, minimum $120K p.a.? No way you turn that down to deputise to Chad Townsend.

If there was a good time for the club to announce a signing it would be today... Before we cope another media bashing..

Cop a media bashing for what ? A fat ex player playing the blame game or a peptide pushing coach rejecting us to look after Macedonian rugby league ? Think we’re ok for once.

All this talk about Flanagan rejecting us to coach Macedonia and Momirovski looking for a more lucrative deal you could be forgiven for thinking Macedonia is a Rugby League powerhouse.

If Joey talks his brother into not re-signing then imma be pissed ?

He appears to have a negative effect on Luc during games? So wouldn’t be surprised to see possible short term upheaval?

They spent most of their lives apart so I hope Luch can be his own man and not follow the trodden path Joey created. Re-sign Luciano!

If he wants to go there's the door whilst he's a good
he's not irreplaceable there's a lot of good forwards coming through the system.

Hartigan Gonski
LATEST

Wests Tigers have just parted ways with GM Adam Hartigan, who brought Laurie, Stefano and Blore to the club.

Sheens now calling the shots. Bizarre move. The club’s only shining light has been the recruitment and development of the youth.
https://twitter.com/MichaelChammas/status/1448814616759341086?t=ojvf72P1nR838bTxPcTRhg&s=19

Anyone else think Chammas just lost his inside source.

Our biggest problem has been recruitment and Hartigan was in charge of it. Our 2nd biggest problems was leaks.

2 birds on stone

How could a person who came from one of the most successful clubs in the game and with a record of success be the problem? And we bring back a plodder from the dead.
I don't normally get on the negativity nelly bandwagon but this club is bonkers if true.

The replacement is dumb granted but the best clubs don’t let go of people like that if they’re so important

In 'normal' circumstances I would agree.
This is the Wests Tigers we are talking about. Cochise has basically stated he is one of now three 'rats' that were caught in the leak trap. I'm not denying that may be true but it just sounds eerily familiar for us. Is it just Sheens is getting the band back together? Heaven help us if it is.

I have never in my life said that, Hartigan was one of the real assets of this club.

Sincere apologies - it was InnsaneInk.

Actually think it was Demps

pretty sure it was @cochise

I never called Hartigan a rat

Question though....

If all is true regarding Hartigan slamming the coach and agitating behind the scene

And despite him being an asset in some way to the club...

Would it be fair to assume its better for team and club harmony and long term success of our club for him not to be part of our organisation ?

A hell of a lot of ifs and assumptions in your post Demps. Hartigan to the club was a huge asset. Unfortunately the wrong individual is going.

You wanted Sheens back... It came at a price.

I thought when he signed his role would end up being more than just pathways but I didn't think he'd be given this much power. Seems like he's in charge of everything.

I think given the club administration's lack of ability to run a successful club, I'd argue we have no choice but to give him that power. I'd rather Sheens with that control than Pascoe or Hartigan or any other blow in that we brought in.

Sheens started this whole spiral. He was the one at the helm when we had the cattle and failed year after year, he was the one that got sacked initially, he was the one that buggered up the cap first time around, he was the one that ended up taking us to court. Since then, we've never recovered. Im not sure how the club gets us out of the mess, but I have little faith in Sheens being the guy to do it. The love for him bewilders me. 2005 was a long time ago. Anyway, thats how I see it. Feel free to rip in. And......GO.

You point out that the club has never recovered from Sheens and he's the source of the club's downward spiral. Irregardless of the fact we still had a successful junior pathways systems subsequent to his sacking. Or a core of very talented players (including juniors) in our system in 2017 - some of who were also a part of the succession plan from his coaching term.
The $950K he paid Farah is long gone.
There's been 3 other players who we've spent similar amounts of money on despite their low impact/influence on the team - Mbye, Packer, Reynolds - plus a coach that brought us to our knees and tarnished the brand/image of the club even worse than before.

No offence mate but there's a perpetual victimhood mentality, within the supporter base, that would rather bury its head in the sand than acknowledge how the club's management (and the division within in it) is cause for our major problems.
It has made persistent error after error and is responsible for the club's further disintegration.
I know I'm personally tired of blaming players and coaches. Or being angry for anyone that does or says anything negative or disrespectful to or about the club but we're in our current state because of them, previous and current.
It's sad to see all this misdirected anger or hurt because while other clubs are getting better because their fans ask the right questions, some of ours are still demanding answers about the past.
It does little to comfort us or change the outcome of our future. What's done is done.

The questions about the past have been asked because we are returning to it. I am happy to have Sheens back but am worried about him having too much control over what we do. I want to build a side that is up near the top for a long time, not a couple of flashes in the pan.

Yep, let’s hope what has been done doesn’t get done again the same way.
