Running with a Liddle / Simpkin combo again wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. But if Liddle wasn't a happy camper already, he definitely won't be a happy camper having been so openly talked about being replaced.

Not having a crack at you Till, but I hate this argument. It is a similar argument that Momirovski lovers trot out that he wasnt loved. What ever happened to the concept of a first grade player having to bite the bullet and prove their worth? I want a (fringe) first grader to be able to face a bit of adversity with "Ill show them" and train their arse off and play their arse off and show to the coach/club of potential other clubs how good they are.

Yeah fair enough, I agree that's how it should be. I guess I was going off the (unproven) rumour that Liddle was already disgruntled with the coach, whereas I don't ever recall any suggestion that Momo was disgruntled. I agree you should just put in 100% regardless and Liddle may well yet do that.

Let's see what-if any-action is taken by the cops and NRL against Starling. The Canberra cops didn't do very well against Curtis Scott a while back. And who knows, we might end up with Api from the Riff anyway. Younger and maybe just as good, or even better

Wasn't your run of the mill pub altercation though, by the sound of it: "The 23-year-old was charged with **threaten/cause injury to potential juror/witness** and for offensive behaviour in a public place." Might get treated very seriously I think.

I'm in the optimism camp. Personally I can't understand how anyone could subject themselves to the torture of following this club without at least a tiny bit of optimism (or at least hope?)

I think Hastings is the medicine we need.
I think our young guns will be a bit less young and a bit more gun.
We will 100% make some extra signings over the next couple of months.
I have the unpopular opinion that Gildart will be a star.
I even think AJ will go well this year.


Sheens is good promoter in the youth program, and believes in the saying .. if you're good enough .. you're old enough .. !!

In saying that we might see a lot of Tommy, AJ, Junior Pauga and William Kei popping up in our side for 2022. I strongly believe Tommy will end up in the back row as ball playing back rower. At 6'2" and nearly 100kgs he'd be perfect for the position in a year or 2.

How bad is Tommy’s knee? We might not see much of him?

Luciano Leilua is the worst defending back rower in the comp, and his metres gained and second phase play fell off a cliff this year .
He repeatedly alienates his edge because of either bad misreads , or slow lateral quickness in the defensive line .
He is damaging on his day , and could at best one day wear a blue jersey , but based on current form , and his appearance to have gained weight over the last 13 months , as well the fact these rule changes have hurt Luciano type players more Han anyone , it would be crazy to pay him 3 million dollars .
If it was the 2020 off season , I would have been totally in the camp of pay that man . But what a difference 12 months makes .

I won't be devastated if Lucy moves on. Yes, he bends the line but he's not an 80 minute player and his defence, well we all know what it's like.
