Clearly centre is an issue for us, seems we're going into 2022 with AJ & Oli or Roberts in mind until Talau is ready...

Not sure we'll recruit any that'd push for a start and the above list is very underwhelming.

Likely to lose Ogden so what's everyone think the road map is here to improve this clear issue we have as no first grade appropriate centres?

The Pom said this week that recruitment is looking at signing centres, I believe the club will sign at at least on decent new centre before the season begins.

First choice obviously but as we saw at the end of last year when he went down.. we struggled to replace him.. Mbye is gone..

Dillion while having potential is very young with zero games NRL experience..

Cini or Nofoaluma after that doesn't scream excitement to me.. Maybe Hastings as he has played there for Wigan..

It's a crucial position..

I think it can be hard to plan for an out and out fullback to be a backup, with the best bet being someone who can play a role if your no. 1 goes down.

The best backups in the league may well be Crichton and Manu, both of which are centres who can play fb, rather than fbs themselves.

So, on that logic, I think AJ, Nofo, or even AD could fill a role if needs be. Remembering that this, by nature, is a backup plan.

From memory, AJ played some fb in Flegg and for Norths.

AD was too slow at fullback and AJ had trouble catching a football. Not good measures for a fullback. Maybe put Nofo at fullback if the club is desperate enough.(or sign a good centre/fullback).

With Walker re signing, he's the only one.
Unless we can scoop up a contracted player.

That doesn't happen too easily though.

Nofa can't communicate efficiently with one reporter ..let alone organize a complete defensive system .....he'd be screaming umm ...ahhh as opposition teams scored

Most fans, tho hard, will swallow the spin that comes from the club as they build for success but if we are losing these players that are our future then the club needs to be accountable

Need to practice what they preach.
I'm a massive advocate for selling the club and going private.
I see it all the time in my professional life.
Once there is accountability, heads start to roll.

Would love to know what the hierarchical structure is between McDonnel, Madge, Sheens, Kimmorley etc. What everyone's job descriptions are. It seems Hartigan dropped the ball a few times, who was in charge of making sure it doesn't happen and what have they done to rectify that (apart from firing him)..

Interestingly, Sheens has responsibility for culture as part of his 5 areas of responsibility. If he is the only person in the organisation with this responsibility then he has a huge job ahead.
Of course an organisation needs clearly defined lines of communication and responsibilities before an acceptable culture can be developed and maintained.

The narrative from the club changes constantly because they actually have no plan. They also have no idea.

Probably, but it's a bit rough to just throw them in the deep end. Is Daine a definite starter for round 1?

If we are looking at centres and we supposedly have a development policy, surely Ogden must be resigned. Flegg team unbeaten and he was on everyone’s list of their best few players. Please tell me these muppets haven’t been on holidays and let him go
