Does pre-season start today? If not, when does that start?

Starts Wednesday 3 November for most of the squad including some of our juniors who were identified coming through to train with the NRL squad.

A decade of no finals and inability to attract quality players will do that.

Sheens is a great coach but his salary cap management has never been very good.

Backended contracts in trying to retain a playing squad with limited funds got us into trouble when Sheens was coach. The only player bought to the club as I recall on big money was Adam Blair. I would say Cleary/ Pascoe over spending wildly on players that were not worth it on long contracts was far more damaging.

I meant clubs announcing new signings for 2023. Re-signings can happen at any time. Maybe the Dolphins might be an outlier.

have you heard anything about whether Israel Ogden is staying around?
