That article makes zero sense. "Tigers want to keep Brooks" but the deal is almost done? He has a Contract until 2023. If the "Tigers want to keep" him, they keep him.

Cmon now, when has that every happened? They wanted to keep Cleary, Aloiai and Matterson at one point too... if a player wants out they get out.

Maybe it should happen when one of your very few options in the halves will not be available until the second half of the season.

And maybe he should jog on if he wants out and we should happily wave him off. The timing is perfect due to injuries however you have to take the opportunities when they come.

If Brooks genuinely wants out, then he can go, $0 freight from Tigers. Will not happen.

It may not happen but I wouldn’t be so confident. The flames haven’t been put out for weeks and the drums are beating louder.

Tigers will be paying something but not heaps. I’ve heard from a reliable source that the next two years and stupid money for him.

I was under the impression that we beat them twice this season. To all the genuine WT fans out there, they will go ok next year. Don't listen to the doomsday mob on this forum. Most of then would not know a footballer if they fell over one. It will be a better year next year. Especially if we get a fair shake and a bit of luck during games for a change.

Why would Tigers stop him? He's been under performing for years, on massive money and if he's asking to leave he clearly isn't going to play his best footy. Plus if he asks to leave we don't pay a cent for him!

As already pointed out, Mbye asked to leave and we’re still paying half his contract. Also, the fact we have no established halves would be a reason we say no.

As already pointed out, we didn't pay for Aloiai or Matterson when they left and this is being reported as the exact same situation

Aloiai and Matterson weren’t on the money Brooks is, not even close. If you think the Knights would be happy to pay 900k, you’re dreaming

The team that’s made finals two years running and are way better than us when fit? Us who got lapped by the reserve grade quality dogs. Yeah heaps of reasons to be chipper about our hopes.

We are gonna suck next year brooks or no brooks . I’ve not had as little confidence going into a season as this ,in a long time . Maybe there’s a kid somewhere in our system who’s about to do a Nico Hynes and fall from the clouds . You can always hope right ? Tyrone may Won’t play footy this year IMO. The NRL can’t allow him to play , it’s another entitled footy player reinforcing stereotypes. I can see hi getting the Todd carney treatment .
