Just checked now he hasn't signed with warriors yet they are still in negotiations. I think they pulled out because they have now kept tavita harris

gossip is trying 2 get a deal done 4 Metcalf a year early{break his contract nxt year at sharks}

Agreed. Compare that to our forward pack. Which is gotta be the worst in the NRL. Which really is our main issue. But that discussion is avoided like the plague.

I was under the impression that we beat them twice this season. To all the genuine WT fans out there, they will go ok next year. Don't listen to the doomsday mob on this forum. Most of then would not know a footballer if they fell over one. It will be a better year next year. Especially if we get a fair shake and a bit of luck during games for a change.

He's apparently the real deal and was close to playing NRL in 2021.

Was contracted til the end of 2023 at Newcastle so well done to whoever's got him over.

He reportedly signed a new 3 year deal with the Knights in 2020 and has been with Newcastle since coming from Wellington NZ for HM. He played for the Junior Kiwis and rejected selection in the NSW U18s team to maintain his eligibility for NZ selection. His recruitment is consistent with buying the best young players on the cusp of the NRL such as Stefano and Blore.

So if Brooks goes to the Knights, where do we go from there?, Madden I don't think is up to it yet. Doueihi is out to round 10 or 12, maybe Peachey but he was going to be our lock, also we are desperate for a centre. Plenty of headaches there, got me beat.

because May is a grub and should not be anywhere near our club and Norman isn't up to scratch.

No rumours of trouble behind the scenes? There doesn't appear to be any real media behind him. I suspect we may have just angled really hard to buy his contract out because he could well be a smokey for FG with us.
