Can we sign Laurie Daley or Brett Kenny , move brooks to 5/8 and get one of these blokes to assist him as a specialist trainer , Hastings to half and run the team

Sounds like a good idea.

Daley is over rated as a coach. Was a reasonable player but as we saw with SOO he canned Robbie for Nathan Peats...... I think that says enough about his judgement of talent & how to use it!

All played SOO ...played Super League .....Some where coached by Warren Ryan ......Bennett .....they'd look great in a WT's jersey in their prime ....

Would it be dumb to offer Benji a 1 year retirement deal? Cover 6 until douhie (could easily take douhie the whole season and not get back to fitness) and then we could allow brooks to leave and run with Hastings/Benji/madden/douhie options for 2022 and then focus on 23 recruiting. Benji then gets to retire properly and have the fairytale exit into the media etc whilst talking up the club.

So who is going to beat us to the spoon.Without a massive salary cap breach and loss of points by another club I just don’t see a team with a weaker squad. Dragons are the only club that might push us a tad

Cowboys and Dragons for sure.

The same curse that denies us making the 8 also assures we never get the spoon. It’s the will of the footy Gods.

I do wonder if we will ever see a team assemble such a talented group of players again? Mullins was a favourite player of mine and Clyde just a superb athlete and footballer.

Cowboys for sure. Townsend for 3 years when he is already past it? Who is the recruitment officer up there? Should be sacked immediately.
