@Jedi_Tiger i don’t deny the clubs made dumb decisions and I understand everyone’s got different views that’s fine but there’s a difference between expressing your view and just being outright negative but the way @GNR4LIFE and @avocadoontoast talk about us they talk like we will never play finals footy again which we all know that won’t happen we will play again its just those 2 are more outright negative than from what I’ve seen I’ve been reading the forum for a while before deciding to contribute and IMO those 2 are more negative than anyone else I’ve seen that’s all

We haven’t played finals it in a decade, with no sign of them any time in the near future. I wouldn’t say we’ll never play finals again, but it’s getting to the point where it would not surprise me if we didn’t.

I wonder if we're going to sign anyone ever again.

Until the club shows improvement on the field or we bear the fruits of this supposed junior development, we will never sign a marquee player. Imagine how poor our reputation is behind the scenes that the public don’t see.

We continue to be poor which makes it next to impossible to really improve so we do face a real reality of not playing finals again for a long time

@avocadoontoast got a mate who’s a sponsor for the club so he gets inside info at times and no offer was made to Adam Elliot that was just the media making out we did and Scott I know originally we weren’t interested in when he was first sacked now I’m not sure since other clubs are interested by the looks of it

Scott and Elliot are not good signings. I think our issue has been not paying overs and I'm fine with that. I mean Peachey is heaps better than Scott or Elliot.

The problem to me is there is a dearth of talent out there plus a new team coming into the comp in 23.

Bangf05 how do we win with a reserve grade roster, in the last 2 origin series Mbye and JOFFA played a combined 55 minutes, 6 games over 2 years, we have such marque talent don't we?

It’s an exaggeration mate. Didn’t think I needed to make that clear. No one can say that for sure. The bigger story here is someone who joined the forum an hour ago, telling others what opinions are acceptable and telling them to go support another club.

I agree with you in relation to the bigger story. It also is a pessimistic time as a Tigers supporter.

Personally though I'm looking forward to Hastings coming into the team and giving us a play maker who we can rely on. I could be wrong and I'll turn on him if he is terrible but I think he is going to be a big step up from Brooks.

I’m with you we need a few genuine marquee players to move the needle. We play under a salary cap sport, if the club can’t make that happen it’s time for bigger changes at the very top. Sheens is a start IMO.
