I still reakon he will carve up I used to play pub footy and he is the last bloke I would want to try and tackle haha just imagine how grubby he will be in that comp without all the cameras on him

It’s your opinion but to say he wouldn’t have improved us is completely deluded. Even during an sub par season with injuries he is better than both dummy half’s at the club.

Not a huge loss that we didn’t get him but it’s not exactly great. More so disappointed I have to watch Jacob Liddle in a year old haircut, throwing every second ball to the floor and running like an asthmatic after 50 minutes. If true I’m very glad he isn’t part of the clubs long term plans

He’s here for the next two years. Lots could change in that time.

That’s speculation. What isn’t speculation is that he is in the club plans for the foreseeable future. To predict the club will definitely move him on at the end of 2023 at this moment is ridiculous.

Yes, there's a few in the major cities. But fried chicken is available everywhere. One part of London i once lived in had 12 different fried chicken shops in that suburb alone!

Yes, there's a few in the major cities. But fried chicken is available everywhere. One part of London i once lived in had 12 different fried chicken shops in that suburb alone!

I remember when I first went there, We got what would be the equivalent of a Fillet Burger meal from KFC and it 1 quid... (About $2) at the time...

Wests Tigers pursuit of Josh Hodgson is officially over with the hooker expected to see out the remaining season on his contract.

Talks between the Tigers and the Raiders have formally broken down despite months of negotiations.

The Tigers were keen on bringing the English international to the club for the next two years and Hodgson was keen to link up with coach Michael Maguire.

However the clubs have been unable to find middle ground in how they would split Hodgson’s final year of his contract – worth about $800,000.

The Tigers were keen to pay $500,000 but the Raiders wanted more of a contribution. In the end, talks at this stage have broken down.

Hodgson has already returned to pre-season training with Canberra. The ex-Canberra skipper will act as an insurance policy for Tom Starling who has an ongoing court appearance.

The Tigers have Jacob Liddle, Jake Simpkin and even new recruit Jackson Hastings as potential dummy half options.

It's actually slightly weird from Canberra. He isn't in their long-term plans, so effectively throwing away $500k to keep a backup for starling seems like a bad call.

Our offer was more than fair. Glad to see the Tigers hold their line.

I agree with others who have already expressed these thoughts, that Raiders were banking on us caving in and paying more.

We've made some mistakes before.
Looks like we're sticking to our guns and trying to be smart with our funds.

Papali’i says hi. Look, I’ve been raked over the coals for being so negative, but all it took was one big signing for me to start feeling a lot better about the club. I’m certainly not going to lose sleep over not forking out 500k on a guy who is always one game away from going down with another knee injury. It’s 500k that can be put to better use.
