Every player who has left the WT has played finals footy. Maybe the problem is the WT

Almost every player,

You are right. The Club / Environment greatly impacts a player and their performance.

Ask yourself - Would anyone in our squad improve if they were playing at Melb or the Rosters???

It’s simple, IMO, need to play to the strengths around 3-4 new players; add Stef, Doueihi and at least one other spine member (could be Laurie and Hastings)... otherwise Brooks will drown under pressure for another year and a bunch of our best options or current recruits will begin looking elsewhere, new coach, cycle starts again.

Need to constantly be looking forward this year but obviously remain grounded as a supporter group and temper any expectations.

Aiming up in defence with a few blokes willing to call out and set the D structure/line speed will be huge..

all comes down to our application and attitude in defence. if we show the same level of intent we did last year we are in for another year of pulling our hair out. let's hope Cayless manages to fix things and our edges begin to work as a unit as opposed to a group of individuals.

Cayless’ man management and individual rapport with his big boppers is a big strength, according to reports

Could be huge.

Hope so, as our WT require the new assistant coaching signings performance to impact as positively as our player recruitments will have to for the side to prosper.

Can’t see it myself…
Cayless was moved on from coaching at Parra where he was former club captain and club legend, to the Warriors - the NZ team, having been the national captain would leave him in good stead there as well - then he was also moved on from there…
If he had anything to offer, he wouldn’t have been pushed from either of those clubs

Let's hope that it's third time lucky. Still, surely he cannot be worse at sorting out our defensive structures and application than his predecessor last season.

Whenever someone says we can’t do any worse than Brooks, I remind them of Billy Walters. There’s always worse.

I agree, He's an upgrade....
But I would prefer the assistants that everyone wants over the assistants no one wants.

Hill had signed with Mackay a week after those 2 were sacked and the meeting “postponed” now that Scolari has done his knee and is out for the season, the club have made contact with Mackay to release Hill back to Tigers pending his current contract. The club have admitted they dropped the ball with Hill and are putting an offer together.
Hill has a clause in his contract that allows him to return to an NRL club at any time.
Tigers now have the Cowboys chasing Hill, I heard that the coach at Cowboys rates Hill and isn’t at all surprised they treated him the way they did.

Bring him back.

Hill has been put through the paces with Mackay, clocked 10.1 over 100m and consistently ran it over several training sessions

With respect....I call BS on this.

If Hill is "consistently" (or even once) running 10.1 for 100m, he is the fastest man in Australia and is the fastest man in Australia by a long stretch and is able to be the fastest man in Aus running in football boots, on grass, in RL fitness (bulk). 10.1 is Olympic level times running in peak fitness on tartan.
