I’d love for you to be right, but they chose to retain his mate Cory Paix who is slightly older but playing half back at the time and had the plan to turn him into a hooker. If they wanted to keep him they wouldn’t of retained Paix first.

There’s plenty more I could go on even our First graders we’ve signed were unwanted by their former clubs.

Well at least until one of our recent two signings in Papali’i.
Before him when did you ever hear we outbid a club for a talented youngster? Or picked up a first grader even by way of choice?

AJ Kepoa and Shawn Blore were two other discards that we signed.

However, not all our youngsters were unwanted by their former club eg Utoikamanu, Madden, Fonua Pole and Josh Feledy.

My personal opinion is that Finucane is massively overrated and I like him as a player. He is a middle forward and should be judged on his ability in that role.

Let's wait and see. I reckon it's a dud signing. Time will tell but I'm making the call now he is a dud signing.

They are paying him as a premium middle forward for 4 years. He ain't that good now and he isn't going to improve.

Lastly he is a good player. At the moment I view him as being on Brooks salary and he ain't the guy to win you the game when it's on the line.

Our reserve grade team is terrible and well we have zero options to promote for a rookie year this season currently. That says it all.

Think Seyfarth and maybe Simpkin I guess are the only ones that have come through the reggie rank into NRL so far.

Tuilagi looks a first grader and he’s gone. Seriously the club would ruin a chook raffle.

I understand what your saying but I think most his work is done from Monday to Friday teaching the young blokes what it takes to be a first grade nrl player at the elite level making sure no 1 is taking short cuts at training and been a great leader in general some we are desperate for

This doesn't cut it to me. You pay for on field performances. I don't think professional sportsman need guidance like that or better put guidance like that on your cap. That is a coaching issue if it isn't a personal issue.

I really like Finucane as a player as well. He is good. I'd love him here.

I’m not sure I feel like it’s different when people who are actually on the field with you and training with you are teaching you things your more likely to listen to them then a coach since there actually there going through it all with them. Stefano said when he went to origin camp he got so much out of seeing how dale prepares for a game then came back and killed it for the rest of the year players like dale influence players around them for the better and no he won’t be the player he is now in 3 years but he will still be there leader he’s is

It’s a smart signing - sign him for 4 years knowing he won’t see them out.
It’s cheating - but they’ll get away with it.

Same as Parra signing Watmough for 4 years with 300 games behind him… was never going to see the end of it. On the back of Watmough - they signed Foran and a bunch of others…
Went from wooden spooners to something with more upside.
