Chasing Mbye money?I.e not happy with sharks offer.
Hudson Young >Briton Nikora has refused to rule out a shock move to the Wests Tigers, with the barnstorming backrower declaring himself still for sale after knocking back the Sharks.
Reported to be a done deal at the Sharks after rejecting the Tigers, News Corp can reveal that Nikora is still on the open market after knocking back a contract extension offer from the Sharks.
“That’s all in the hands of my manager,” Nikora said.
But I believe that is the case. He is looking after all of that, but all I know is that my future is very much still in the air and nothing has been ruled in or out.”
In a major blow that could force a recruitment rethink for the Sharks, Nikora’s manager Sam Ayoub last week rejected an extension offer from Cronulla.
It is understood the deal fell well short of the offers he has attracted from rivals, including the Tigers.
While he declined to talk about the offer, the Kiwi edge forward sensation did say that he would be forced to consider his financial future.
The Sharks signed Nikora for a bargain basement deal of $5000 when he 17.
“I love the Sharks,” Nikora said.
“And, of course, I would love to stay here. But I also have to think about what is best for myself and my family at this stage of my career. I have to consider what is out there. I really just want to stay out of all this and concentrate on my football.”
Nikora admitted that he could be tempted by a monster offer from the Tigers.
“I know Madge (Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire) from the Kiwis and he is a good fella and a good coach,” Nikora said.“I have a few things to weigh up but as I said, no decisions have been made and my manager will sort it out.”
Nikora said he will be available to play next week after missing the clash against the Storm because of Covid.
“I will be out of isolation on Monday,” Nikora said.
“It is a bummer I missed out on the game but I am hoping to be back for next week.

One of my biggest pet hates with players. Basically admitting publicly that you are being babied. Have some gumption and make a call yourself.“I really just want to stay out of all this and concentrate on my football.”
Signed to the end of 2024 and if Sutton goes to the Dogs they won’t release him.Hudson Young >
Contracts there for the breakin'Signed to the end of 2024 and if Sutton goes to the Dogs they won’t release him.
Would be good though with Tapine who can be spoken to as of Nov1 this year.
Because [This word has been automatically removed] them, that's why. They signed a contract, they can see it out.Why not release Luch now and Tuilagi to be honest. We arent making the finals in 2022 so release them now and use the cash to front pay blokes we are keeping or even pay more of Luke Brooks's 2023 deal so we have more cap available next year
Sheens?Doesn’t help the bloke charged with creating our vision for a better future currently has his feet up. Papali’i and Api have taken note. Time to chill.
I reckon Wests Magpies did that years ago when they signed (I think) four players from Canterbury including Langmack, Farrar, Gillespie and Joe Thomas. I reckon that got them all in a room and got them to sign at the same time. They made a huge difference to Wests on-fiel;d performances. Good players will come if they know other good players are coming too.we need to go after 3 gun players and get them to the same meeting on the same day at the same time , like parra did years ago
we tell them we have Appi and Pipi coming
we wont you 3 to jump on board and we will get rid of or loose
Kel and Lucy plus plus plus plus
and we and trying for a couple of good young bench players from other clubs ???
and we are keep Brooks , Hastings , Joffa , Steph , Blore , Ken , Toa , etc
maybe just maybe some one willlook at this IMO
Some of our players need Brain cells.Somebody give big Kenny some stem cells
Fingers crossed with this one. Even if he is on the fence with Madge as coach, being succeeded by either of the two former Cronulla coaches should make him feel comfortable in our colours.Briton Nikora has refused to rule out a shock move to the Wests Tigers, with the barnstorming backrower declaring himself still for sale after knocking back the Sharks.

I thought we offered him $1.95 mil over 3 years or $650,000 per season.Fingers crossed with this one. Even if he is on the fence with Madge as coach, being succeeded by either of the two former Cronulla coaches should make him feel comfortable in our colours.
Any idea what’s the massive offer?
500k a season or something?
I get it he’s trying to get as much money as possible and doesn’t want to stuff it up so he just leaves ut all up to the professional he has paid to do all the workOne of my biggest pet hates with players. Hopefully the Sharks don’t want to break the bank for him and by default he signs with us. Standby for the Dragons to come in with a bidI thought we offered him $1.95 mil over 3 years or $650,000 per season.
Because theyre probably theyre our best players on form atbthe moments and they're both leaving for significant $$$ upgrades. Why not release Luch now and Tuilagi to be honest. Yep. No go forward meansno use signing a quality back unless they also can attract other quality players.JAC going to a struggling team has shown the relative importance of wingers. We were looking at him as a FB and I think we dodged a bullet.
This isn’t a silly idea. It would be really rough on their replacements though who clearly wouldn’t be ready for FGWhy not release Luch now and Tuilagi to be honest. That would be great upgrade blokes that are going like busteds, could only happen hereBecause theyre probably theyre our best players on form atbthe moments and they're both leaving for significant $$$ upgrades.
