Yeah definitely a worry that he hasn't put many consecutive games together. Need some luck on the injury front here and we could see something special. He must be 19 at best though. He'll have to come on like Nanai and the injuries are a concern. Look at Blore.
I think he looks much more like an edge backrower than Blore does.
If though Kautoga is considered to be an NRL edge player by the club it puts Sheens comments about Blore moving to the middle in context.
I really like this kid. What is the latest contract details about Tommy Talau. Appears the forgotten person.
Played 35 NRL games but I think he has not played a game in 2022.
If he stays with WT is he still considered a back or has he bulked up and needs to be moved to Second Rower/ Lock in 2023.
In more ways than one mateWe miss Geo.
Hopefully he can put some games together and help get the flegg side deep into finals.Yeah definitely a worry that he hasn't put many consecutive games together. Need some luck on the injury front here and we could see something special.
Thanks for the info @CloudyGlock .If he accepts the offer, he gets some of it now in this year, prior to the new contract which is what the Nofa/Gildart move is about. He has to accept the deal first though
Why not restructure his existing deal to pay him the 400-500k saved this year, reducing next year's payment to 600ish? That's a win for both parties, and worry about 2024 and beyond later. If he accepts the offer, he gets some of it now in this year, prior to the new contract which is what the Nofa/Gildart move is about. What you've said makes too much good sense, we are talking about Tigers admin after all.Why not restructure his existing deal to pay him the 400-500k saved this year, reducing next year's payment to 600ish? That's a win for both parties, and worry about 2024 and beyond later.
Could not agree more. Please move on LB, please 🤦🏻♂️Let's hope Brooks management rejects that.
It's a terrible contract for us and that contract is heavily inflated.
Brooks and Doueihi in the halves just doesn't work. Neither of them have a long kicking game.
It just beggars belief. Brooks is at his lowest ebb in his career. His confidence is shattered, he's a very pale immitation of the Brooks from a few years ago. Can he recapture his form? Maybe, but at his age it may be unlikey.
I'd expect his management to sign with another club for 2024 come November and then push for a release in 2023. So long as they communicate this to the club and we can plan accordingly i'm fine with this.
Wests Tigers have put an offer to Brooks management for $2.3M for the next 3 years including the final year on his current contract. Tiger for life.

I'd argue the opposite. he keeps talking about how the spine for 2025 is currently in the pathways. Koroisau's and Brooks's potential contracts both finish up at the end of 2024. I get the feeling we're going to see an entirely different spine with guys like Da Silva and Galvin there when these deals finish up.Tbh it doesn't seem like sheens rates any of our potential halves that much
In March we were apparently chasing Francis Pele from Sharks for next year.
He's only young and a big lad. What's happened with him I wonder?
Also Angus Crichton would have to be a target again surely.

Fitzgibbon would be an excellent judge of a good forward. The Sharks have just re-signed two very good young props in Jesse Colqhoun and Hazelton. Plus they have signed Marty Tapau's younger brother and according to an article the "next big thing" in 17 year old prop Josh Finau.Bulldogs. Fitness is his biggest issue but he is one heck of a talent.
Wished we hit him harder and nabbed him. Would offer impact off the bench bigtime even for 10-15min spurts.
