Sounds like Benji is texting everyone. Time will tell if the "spray and pray" approach works. There is a fairly good chance it will backfire.
His form is well short of what he was doing at Canberra,considering he would want big money i would classify him as very poor value

Storm haven't replaced JAC at all... Let alone "Adequately"
JAC asked for a release from the Storm more than a year before he left....
Teddy had a contract offer for almost the same amount of time, Before signing elsewhere.....
He used our contract as leverage keeping us on Ice for the best part of a season before letting us know that he wasn't signing.
Tedesco was never staying - And in fact did play us....

Sounds like Benji ringing around, texting around to players is akin to U2 putting their album
"Songs of Innocence" free on itunes and we all know what happened. Lots of pissed off itunes subscribers. Might have been different if album was as good as Actung Baby or Joshua Tree.
Good luck Benji as WT needs to experienced hard nose metre eating props and speedy backs.

While I like the reports that Benji is sounding people out to gauge interest, can someone confirm if he is actually allowed to do that to players contracted for next year (i.e. Cam Munster) prior to Nov. 1?

I would like to share you optimism, but Brooks had 10+ years to show that he can play, with the classy players better than D Brown e.g. Marshall, Moses, Farah, Tedesco, and he failed miserably

From what I’ve read on here is that you can talk to anyone anytime as long as you don’t put forward a contract and coerce them to break their current contract??
You might think this post is in the wrong thread but it goes to who we should be signing. There's a book by Gary Lester called "Clouds of Dust Buckets of Blood", which is a history of the Western Suburbs Rugby League Club". In it there's a wonderfui quote from Noel Kelly in which he says:
"There wasn't one Wests player I didn't want to play with .... not one dud. I loved Wests. It is the greatest club in the world. To put a Wests jumper on was equal to wearing an Australian jumper."
Wouldn't it be great if we could say win, lose or draw, there wasn't one dud in our team. And, if we could say the players feel a great honour to play with Wests Tigers and prize the jersey highly. I said something in an earlier post about culture, or the lack of it at WT. We should be recruiting players who have these characteristics and, more important, we should be making sure our juniors are imbued with this spirit and want to play with WT above all else.
