I'm not sure Doueihi is as slow as people want to believe. He's a 'loper' when he runs, so he looks like he's just cruising along. But he doesn't get left behind by anyone either. I think laterally, he's not super-agile.

I think the biggest issue in the halves is our kicking game.

I find it quite interesting that Will Smith is added & Kurt Falls is touted as joining. I don't see both being 'starters', but if they can supply the general field kicking game...

Laurie being tested at 5/8 is also interesting- he adds the speed Sheens is talking about.

If Hastings & Brooks actually go, as is rumoured, I still think Doueihi at #7 & Laurie at #6 seems likely, with Falls as the fall back option.

The odd thing with Sheens is, he signed John Morris and later Braith Anasta to play in the halves because they ran the ball and took the line on. Seems like AD is similar in that aspect.

AD is a lot better than those two.

I truly wonder what Brooks fans see when they watch him play. Or are they too busy playing with themselves out of excitement that their mute midget gets to play with the big boys and they miss most of his brain-dead plays on the field?

If we let Hastings go we need to sign an organising half with a decent kicking game. We cannot go into next season with Brooks and Doueihi in the halves.

As soon as our forwards are consistently heading in that direction, everything else will prosper on the back of it.

We will soon see if Koroisau can provide that leadership for them from dummy half, though I expect that he will also need someone in that distribution 13 role to allow him to carry it out more effectively.

i think most on hear have no idea who we are going to get for next season , Bateman, Klemmer and co , nobody knows
where the guys will play this season coming it is also a complete unknown , Hastings Brooks , AD , I believe will all be with us in 2023 , where they play who knows , Sheens may give Brooks a few games in second grade to tune in what sheens wants him To do , first 4 rounds we may move players around like Brooks , Hastings , Smith , AD , then settle on a run on team , Players returning to training over the next couple weeks will also mean zero , we won’t know who plays where , who is coming , who is going , until January , I think Glock may be correct , Pom also has been very quiet so no news to share

OMHO, Laurie is by miles the best FB in the club, I prefer AD to play either at the centre or 5/8, and he must work on his long kick with Pat Richards.

I will be stunned if Stains is not FB. They want a good spine APISI,STAINS, trying for Moses an Munster and others for 6 and 7. and signed Smith as a fall back position. Hoping with better coaching to rejuvinate Brooks, and maybe give Laurie a chance . That and some big forwards is the obvious goals; A long way to go with this can of worms, Don,t be surprised if Smith turns out to be a winner.
