Yes, we were promised that his salary wouldn't go up before 2024 but in the media it fluctuates on a daily basis. It seems Brooks' salary in the media is similar to the Reserve Bank announcements on interest rates. It usually rises and provides the ammunition for those on this forum to whack Brooks over the head with (at every opportunity).

I heard you all missed me, so Im back!!!
I have not been idle however in my long absence and I can now announce exclusively here for the good people of the Wests Tigers Podcast that as the world waits on a decision from Mitchell Moses the Tigers are not dragging their feet and have made a very aggressive and ambitious move on Ethan Sanders, the Parramatta halfback in Jersey Flegg & SG Ball 2022. Stay tuned and watch this space!!!
I wouldn't mind knowing more about Etan Sanders just in case the story does have legs.My comment was on the club looking at alternatives for halfback other than Brooks. No person in particular
Well it’s Thursday…hoping your source was spot on and at least we will hear something today?! He signs or he doesn’t, let’s just hurry up and put it to bed.Hoping pom has an update in relation to Moses, would love a confirmation on what I was told, I was told decision Thursday.
They seemed pretty confident Moses was Concord bound.
Been saying it for years, it’s not like it is ground breaking news. Of course the same rorts are not restricted to third party deals. You can do the same sort of thing unofficially with a players contracts. Wives getting bogus jobs, the possibilities are endless. Near impossible to police and the NRL certainly will not do anything that might upset the apple cartOf course. It confirms the obvious. So much greyness, so much deception. The cap's simply not working because of it. Thanks for passing it on twentyforty!
It would be easy to come to the conclusion that there are lots of times that Lee doesn't think before opening his mouth. You reckon Lee ever thinks to himself “I’m a senior office holder at a NRL club. I probably shouldn’t publicly comment on this…”
When I read this, your comments are exactly what I was thinking. You reckon Lee ever thinks to himself “I’m a senior office holder at a NRL club. I probably shouldn’t publicly comment on this…”
Moses was recently married and has a new family so I can understand his attention may be elsewhere. We just need to this into account.
New star Eel in waiting
Eels fans worried at losing Mitchell Moses for 2024 can breathe a little easier following the emergence of a superb young prospect from within their own ranks
Ethan Sanders is just 19 and starred for the Eels in the Flegg Cup last year.
There's a bit of Trent Barrett in his play and he has all the skills to make it to the top.
The club has their eyes on him and he'll challenge Jake Arthur for the number seven jumper should Moses make the leap to the Tigers or Bulldogs in 2024.

I'm tired of hearing about Moses, but actually hearing nothing. Either sign or don't, but bloody hell! Just make a decision!!Does anyone else get the feeling that Parra may have had a big play in getting this article out to the public.... maybe they're getting a feeling Moses may be moving on and wanna assure their fans they have a junior star waiting regardless and it may not be the end of the world
Also, the less you hear about what Moses may be doing as days go by - the better our chances
There’s always a first time for everything. If Moses is staying and the Ethan Sanders thing is true, I have no doubt we’ll again be battling against the Bulldogs for him. I don’t think we’ve ever beaten Gus to a signing: TPJ, Ciraldo etc.
Thats why a players worth should be what the highest bidder is willing to pay. For example Rorters offer Tedesco "700k"( plus the under the table money) . Tigers offer 1.2 M. .As the market has now determined Tedescos value , he now costs the Rorters 1.2 m out of their salarycap not the bogus 700K . There is no restraint of trade , Tedesco can sign where ever he wants & the Rorters can sign him if they think he is worth taking 1.2 m out of there salary cap. Open & transparent . We had a discussion on this a little while ago & there are a few more rules to add but if anyone is interested we can start another thread.Of course. It confirms the obvious. So much greyness, so much deception. The cap's simply not working because of it. Thanks for passing it on twentyforty!
Maybe, in the not too distant future, we will become Goulds major hurdle !We will face the same sort of competition in our endeavours to sign the young kid from Parra as with the likes of Moses. He will be in hot demand and we have a bad track record once in bidding wars. As always Gus will be our major hurdle
