Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The Sharks have already said they won't stand in Trindalls way if a club signs him, No club would block the deal for a 2nd or 3rd string player, we just have to hand over a few dollars.
Hope your right, he’s the perfect fit for us I reckon. When have the guppies said they won’t stand in his way? I haven’t read that anywhere.

To be fair the club has a crack at Munster, Moses, Pearce and Johnson in recent months with pretty decent bids put up for each, so they have identified the need for a 7. Can’t blame them for trying to get a gun / mature 7 as a first port of call. I think it is realistic that we are only looking at up and comers and good KOE players now as a second wave of potential recruitment.
That's a fair point

I thought Cogger is going ok, laid on a try with a pin point grubber, he is better than what we have
low base not hard to better than wakeham and at present all we have is an injured AD for 2024
Ilias maybe if souths were to let him go and go with Cody and wighton in halves?

Everything I've read suggested that Wighton was going to play left centre next year
I think you a right mate just curious if they went with Walker and wighton in halves.
Right now Ilias might be one if only a few options if we dont get trindall
think Roosters might keep Smith in halves next year and walker and potentially release keary. Problem he is a head knock away from retirement

Not singling you out - but this is the basis of everyones nuffie suggestions. Better than what we have could literally be anyone.

Realistic or not, we need an experienced half who has proven they can control a team. Not a reserve grader slotting into a nice system and looking decent.

Not Cogger. Not Metcalf. Not Volkman. Not any flavour of the month career first grader.

Volkman is only 20 though, he's still a rookie and I think given the chance he'd go well

You lost me at "To be fair..."

We don't take too kindly to "being fair" round these here parts....

"That story we ran last week about Benji threatening to leave Tigers, well it's not true, he told us he definitely doesn't want to leave, even though there were previous rumours (started by us) that Benji might in fact leave, he's now saying that he doesn't plan to leave. Braith Anasta says it's not been handled well, both the rumour about Benji possibly leaving and now from Benji himself that he's not leaving, even though there were previous rumours that he was leaving. In fact we heard previously, from us, that Benji was in fact leaving, and now that he says he's not leaving, we are fairly sure he isn't leaving, even though there was that rumour about it, from before. "
This is well written, great satire @jirskyr. 🤣

I remember the old British TV show Yes Minister/ Prime Minister: apparently (and don't quote me on exactly who!) the pollies over there weren't fans of it at all as it was too close to the truth.

*I'd hazard @Winston Churchill would be a better source to confirm this, as I was young and not in UK in the 80's.

The point is, it's funny because there's a large element of truth to it.

Scott Sattler just happens to say on the radio (is that still a thing?) that the Tigers should consider bringing Michael Morgan out of retirement (probably because the previous day there was an article about him on fox sports website).

Next thing you know it's a headline in that twat Hooper's column. Seriously... it's ridiculous.
