Well if you dig a little deeper you see about half of his 27 matches were off the bench or starting hooker.
So it's more like 7 tries, 3 try assists, 6 offloads and 6 forced restarts from 15 games starting in the halves, plus bits and pieces. It's a decent strike rate for a 21 year old.
And my observation of him is he is most dangerous close to the try line, which is a distinct deficit of the Tigers.
Or the Oporto chicken diet Joey Leulia was on.

He signed and came here to play fullback, he wanted $600k per year (fullback $$) deal earlier this year

If Brooks is back we still only have one fit half. Laurie is still the best fit 5/8 at the club.
It would make no sense to dump him to NSW cup, and if Penrith don't have room where is he going? Or a swap with another club? We getting Latu early?

That's not totally right. We can sign someone else, but we don't HAVE to sign/promote someone and can choose to include Joffas salary in our top 30 instead if we want

Brooks and Laurie if the club gives a hoot about its fans and it’s own self , Wakeman is poor and cost us Thursday with his poor bombs , slow runs
Penrith have room for Laurie next year. He's with us to the end of this year
I agree, coaching fail, but only from an outsider's perspective. I don't know what was going on in the background. There were a number of indications he wasn't happy here. Pity WT didn't take advantage of his skills earlier though.

Brooks and Talau go in next year and they are Moses clients, and the Assistants Jim Dymock and Peter Gentle are also Moses clients. Seibold is a slave to his Manager, it cost him his job at Brisbane and will again at Manly.Ha, I think I have fallen for some fake news.
The Daily telegraph (man they are Horrible for accuracy, seriously dumb). said that 19/30 of their players were managed by Issac Moses.

Liking the addition of the Fainu brothers for 2024 and hopefully we can land Sezer too for that experienced 7 to begin with.
I feel getting Sullivan would be good for a 3rd half and he could potentially be our 14 next year. I know we have TDS, but Api should be playing big minutes most weeks and the best thing for TDS will be getting more minutes and experience in Cup most weeks in 2024. I still think we will keep Wakeham on a 2nd tier contract next season, more so due to lack of availability out there. Hopefully he remains in Cup most of the year anyway.
With Daine gone, we need to think about a backup fullback, as there is currently no one contracted for 2024 who can really play that role. I would love for us to keep Staines and have him as our right winger, and as our back up fullback. Maybe try to pickup Kaeo Weekes to fill the role in 2024.
Our outside backs still worry me...
-AJ, Reilly and Naden have not filled me with any confidence that they will be any type of solution moving forward.
-Nofa getting moved on would be good for both parties I reckon.
-Tupou is a keeper with plenty of potential (just very hot and cold at this point of his career).
-To'a is also hot and cold. Needs some pressure in the centre position so his spot isn't guaranteed. Happy to keep him, but still need to see him become more consistent.
-Feledy also still has some developing to do on his game. Needs to be in Cup now to start helping him transition into 1st grade sooner rather than later.
Hopefully we can offload a few contracts between now and November 1 and replace them with some quality.
